to be honest this makes me think of feeling numb .. not feeling anything at all .. and that is a difficult place to be .. you know when your watching something that’s supposed to be happy /funny .. and you feel ‘nothing ‘ I’ve felt that before .. sometimes but yes I can relate to the not wanting to feel grief / sadness .( difficult emotions )
I can see the envy in this but also the sympathy towards something which may not feel anything ..
‘ as I watch her I tremble
because
I am convinced her robotic heart
wants so desperately to beat
If just for a moment
to feel any slight emotion’
how sad is it not to ‘ feel ‘ happiness joy and just to feel ‘ empty ‘
