A wonderful account of you meeting your future wife and how happy the lady looks in the picture with her beautiful smile. May you both find that true love which never grows old but sings its spring-song forever. A great read.

they should be paying you, handsomely
for the dozens of extra visitors
they\'ll be getting this year..
\'It\'s by a sacred, surging sea
of sacramental symmetry,
with sandless beach of shingled stones,
as burnt and bleached as dead men’s bones.\'
what a wonderful verse

Good write Kevin.
Well it was - not today, surely! Somewhat cooler. Hopes of more summery weather though.

a sacred summer\'s day
dusk arising said:
All too easily done isn\'t it. But I hope you had wonderful dreams of that love you have written about.
I recall the aftermath of my brother falling asleep uinder the sun and becoming very badly sunburned.
I enjoyed reading your post today very much. It\'s all too easy to let a day in my life be \'wasted\' in this current lockdown mood for us old vulnerables.
A must for my favourites.

a sacred summer\'s day
L. B. Mek said:
yeah, I can empathise
it takes me a while to get used to the oppressive summer heat
I\'m more of a winter guy for productivity
summer days, I lack the energy
just want to chill and sip and
blink, in and out of lazy naps..
thanks for sharing

Such great words Kevin, words can come and go in seconds and when they come to us by the bucket load we have no way to write them down. But these words of yours relate to so many of us who write such words.

Poems for all Seasons

Your style and theme blend perfectly here. There are many really inventive, sincere, crafty, elegant, or inspiring pieces on MPS, but this work epitomizes what sites like this were made for. A real treasure. This reminds me of the elusive, tragic, self-taught genius poet of the English farm and field John Clare. (If you haven\'t read him check out his listing in MPS.) We all thank you.

You are too good for me - I can\'t find anything intelligible to make commentary with. It would sound too pedestrian after that.

Aphrodite\'s Grief
L. B. Mek said:
beautiful!
there\'s a stark quality that I can\'t help
but relate to Euripides
the way, he too exposed the monstrosity of war
to his fellow Grecian\'s (during war)
except your words, explore the suffering and oppression
of womankind in general, I think..?
still, such an engaging read
liked the way you weaved
mythology with theology, with purpose
added a lot of depth
to what interpretive meaning
we readers have to play around with
really well executed, thank you for sharing
