Kiss of Life

wonderful, I recognise this work or maybe just the picture? not sure
another wonderfully worded dedication, thanks for sharing:
\'When willows weep and dungeons deep
depress my dreaming mind,
and nightingale, poor prince of pain,
sweet song he cannot find...\'
this verse made me think of Keat\'s \'Ode to a nightingale\'
remixed with Poe\'s \'Annabel Lee\'
(coincidentally, the very last poem Poe published),
specifically this lines (I altered some words, ahem..):
\'For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful *Lorraine*;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful *Lorraine*;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride,\'..

Poetry - exemplifying: quintessential, understated British - brilliance!
(thank you for sharing your source of inspirational happiness, dear poet
and for inspiring my own, feeble scribbled reply):
\'I\'m so grateful to have been welcomed
into this \'oh so private\' - miracle, we\'ve titled
our beloved, blighty
and ain\'t nowhere in the world
like a foreigner - made to feel, at home
than in our beautiful, British isles
where the \'Vast Majority\' - still, stubbornly choose
to nurture their hereditary pride
for those simple treasured gifts, in life
trusting in those subtle, picturesque scenes
of a freshly-pulled pints, enticingly sweating glass
as light-hearted, meaningful warmth - exudes
from beaming, grateful smiles
shared knowingly
between those fated: handful few, in our lives...\'

different, for sure - but intriguingly-so (for me)
challenging, kinda hard to comprehend fully
a proclamation of faith, that vaguely turns into commentary, maybe?
thanks for sharing

I just write what I feel . I try not to think too much, or judge what I write as that can get in the way .

My kind of poetry, with totally comprehensible feelings which have been there for me, although the ending was different.

these line and the image you paired with your write - combine
to birth an impactful metaphor, that\'s so innately relatable..
