There are many people who can only see the superficial. They are not worthy of the company of one who sees deeper. Rather than pander to their standards be yourself and be seen by real people - is what I say.
I suppose it\'s adopting a new mindset. As kids we need to be a \'part of the gang\' but as we mature we can become true individuals though some can\'t lift themselves out of \'gang mentality\'.

Speaking out for ones self brings inner strength and self belief. So what\'s that worth u may ask. Well there\'s a well known phrase that says you cannot love someone properly until you love yourself.

The subject you write about today would seem to be walking the right path and is worthy of your words.

Depression
Gino said:

Fine write Georgiarous101. A few of my poems have to do with depression. You captured very well the darker side of feeling wrapped with emotion like there is no one to embrace your sadness away...

Yep, so many people reside within their depressive state. Often we see the writing it produces here on MPS which is hopefully therapeutic. Great to see them lifting out of it though and writing about brighter moments.

You scared to move outside your palace because the outside world sucks. Having a connection with anyone really is too much handle. I get that in a sense but fight your way out. Do what your afraid of because it\'s scary. Do it to prove to yourself that your strong and to other\'s. Agoraphobia sucks but it\'s apart of you and it\'s up to you to change that...

The devil\'s smile
b-LAH-que said:

I get the impression that the \'devil\' expressed in this is anyone or anything that can seem to give us a sense of happiness or bliss, but one that only is a response to our pain, perhaps pain that they themselves have caused. This bliss is a temporary one and is only meant to manipulate the victim into clinging more tightly to them, only to have their temporary bliss broken down once again by their actions until the process is repeated and we become more irrationally attached to the healing of the pain they repeatedly cause, instead of our own continued well being. Their thousand faces they wear portray the character they want us to believe of them, only to hide their true intentions, their own face. Just my little interpretation :)

Hope
FredPeyer said:

Your nice poem goes from loss and sadness to strength and hope. The hope is only necessary as long as you don\'t have the strength yet. Once you are strong again, you don\'t need hope, because you KNOW that there will be smiles and loves. Nicely written!

Very sensitive write. Only the most heartless would say \'Snap out of it, it\'s only a dog\'. We know the same for our various pets we have had - guinea pigs, cats, rabbits, mice.... With piggies I get another one quickly to join the one left behind. They don\'t like to live alone. Yet pets are gone but not forgotten.
