What an amazing verse! I am in awe of your talent! You ARE like stardust and if i were the person \'holding\' u in your writing here, then i would graciously encourage you to slip away into the world where your beautiful future awaits. I would glory in the knowledge that u once looked into my old eyes and were so inspired.
This goes straight into my favourites. I\'m zonked by this.

Why can\'t you love me?

Oooooh KATHERINE another "cri de coeur" I hope you find it cathartic ! Love the structure of the poem ! I can empathise because I have had an S /O (significant other) who - didn't really love me - took me for granted and I could never please her ! Thinking of you every blessing - Yours - BRIAN

Drowning
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

THANKS KATHERINE - A great "free verse" poem. I'm sure you don't want to drown yourself - BUT - if you do remember to tie a heavy weight to yourself before you jump in and you will drown ! I have been in difficulty in water twice and there was a lot of what I experienced in you poem. You can see the surface but you can't reach it - I was trapped in a lake underwater in weeds ! When i was a child I jumped in the deep end (six feet) and inhaled the water - awful - someone pulled me out and pumped the water out ! I still love water but would never jump off a bridge to end it all - unless it was a Motorway Bridge ! A great poem and it made me shiver ! Thanks for sharing. Yours BRIAN

BEAUTIFUL POEM KATHERINE ! A symbiosis of despair and hope ! This is true in my life when I feel low. God knows and understands my situation and sends just the right person to pick me up or one of His Angels just when I am near to breaking. Thanks for caring & sharing. As well as an encouraging content it is a beautifully crafted poem - quatrains & rhyming couplets - perfection ! Yours BRIAN

My mind is hiding
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

WELCOME KATHERINE - INTERESTING FIRST POEM - Good "free verse" structure and a very painful content. As Humans we are tripartate Body - Mind - Spirit. As we get older our bodies and minds get weaker and the Spirit depends on our faith. I know many people (mainly in the 60+ age group) whose minds are slowly slipping away. YES it does hide the BAD times (pain) but the GOOD times recede as well ! Thanks for sharing BRIAN
