Thanks Phoenix. I do like to describe a story in my poems rather than simply emotions - at least I try.

Thanks Phoenix and Brian - I\'m actually feeling quite hungry now. Looks like I\'d better book into your college Brian - always in London being a Londoner myself.

You are a Gentleman Michael ~ but I would have named and shamed ! Loved your critique 10 / 10 for that. I teach \"Food Science & Nutrition\" and that meal was unbalanced ~ unhealthy and under / overcooked and I guess over priced. The food in our College Training Restaurants is always excellent and the \"feed back\" we get is always very good or excellent ! Thanks for sharing I enjoyed that ~ the poem NOT the meal ! Yours BRIAN

Thanks to you all - we\'ve all been there paying over the odds although part of me says I\'d rather that than another dehydrated pizza or an indigestible beef burger.

Thanks once again Kathy. You have hit the nail on the head - I am currently working on two collections of poems titled: Painting With Words (the serious stuff) and Sketching with Words (the more whimsical). Writing quite a bit of poetry at the moment as the art market is a bit slow at this time of the year.

Thanks Augustus - yes I love a gin - in fact gin and tonic which is very popular here in the UK - is it popular in the States? In fact I think I\'ll have another one. Ah - ton and ginic - can\'t beat it but it must be made properly with ice and lemon.

I noted Gordon\'s Gin was a sponsor. Perhaps one needs to drink heavily before reviewing the winner. Goes well with sausage as well. Nicely done.

That is so funny! And, I love the badger line. \"We don\'t need no stinking Turner badgers!\" (My paraphrase from UHF an old funny move with Weird Al (1989).)
