\\remember that song by johnathin king back in the 60\'s. Your piece today brought it to mind.

A delightfully sombre mental picture arose.

What descriptive choice of words Michael, I truly imagined the beautiful scenery of your poem. Wonderful use of imagery, I truly enjoyed it.

Yes, lovely write and pic M. I was on a country walk - trees were bare. Then it occurred to me - of course they are, it\'s Winter. Doh! Though relatively mild day.
How\'s that itching? Does Miss Berles suffer from it too, or has she got fleas?

As for the art work it is stunning, I just sighed when I saw it, it is so meaningful - I love it.
Thank you for sharing it.

Angela Here - Just having Coffee & Shortbread with Brian before SHOPPING ~ AMEN ! Love the painting - Scotish Lowlands in Winter ? Brian & I always take the TRAIN up to the SMOKE. We never worry about the time because it is normally Pleasure not Business. I was raised in London but would hate to have to commute every day ! It sure doesnt take a Month to travel to March (Norfolk) from Essex ! Not even by ANGLIA !

Blessings & Peace - to YOU & YOURS

BUENAS DIAS TIO MIKE ! Love the picture ~ reminds me of Friends of OURS (Owen & Blodwyn) who always have their SHEEP DOG (also called Fido !) sleeping between them in their bed ! They put Him in the kennels on a Friday Night so Fred gets his conjugal rights ! Love the Poem ~ it has multiresponsitivity. My answer would be *A Bottle of Single Malt when Hogmany is still a Year awa* !*

BRAIN HERE ! Being a FROSTOPHILE I take the picture to be a Rose Bush in deep Winter ~ which complements the Title. I have seen similar in Mums garden !
The Poem ? Less flippant than of late Master Mike !

V1. A bleak - lampless - roseless Street - WW1. ?
V2. No Hope - naked stones - chruning heels - WW2. ?
v3. Writhing bodies - fettred pride - shades of grey - WW3 ?

Nil desperandum - carborundum !
Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

This is a very special piece I think Michael, and one which I\'d like to save. I wonder if it\'s a picture inspired poem or a poem inspired picture..... must really be a dark place though if no roses grow there ~ even a red rose grows wild in Spanish Harlem.

Kind regards, Alan

The darkness will subside,
The light will be back in our lives,
And the roses will grow.

Seeing that title HE took me straight back to childhood vision of the top shelf HE magazine where we first sniggered and tittered over nudity..... funnily enough one or two pictures within did make us weak at the knees and short of breath too.
As a sufferer of arthritis in my knees im sympathetic to anyone in the same boat. I remember mum telling me that growing old was all about putting up with aches and pains,,,, she was right.
