A true reminiscence, with absolutely no distractions, can indeed be a very special moving intimate experience.

But stepping outside from such things as we can experience, such as reminiscence, we enter into the realms of faith, belief and hope. Both faith and belief can give us reassurance.

Your words tell a longing story of deep love sorely missed and an ache to recapture.

Please ponder on, don\'t think anyone really knows... All just blagging it until tomorrow, yet tomorrow never actually gets here!

Thank you for sharing this inspiring writing, I truly hope this is not too much for you!

As a spirit like yours will always see it through, how else could do perfectly what you do.... Just being you!!

Resilience, but we\'re not born with it. It is a life skill we learn or should I say acquire having suffered a number of set-backs and survived with the ability to smile on another day.
One knows when this is a part of ones make up when able to smile in the face of adversity.
Hand in hand, perhaps we should include thankfulness that we prevail for many have not.
Some achieve this in their blind faith in an organised religion of course.

The here and the now
I would steer from the prow
glancing not one look back
no not for me, none of that
for right here today
is the time where i play
with each second, each tick
i learn a new trick
and if i may be so bold
bugger off with the old.
Ha! I knew it cant last
It\'s now in the past.

Nice one Fay, I\'m in flippant mood today creating sillyness on the fly.

Good write Fay. That Mr Tolle has some oddities though. I read one of his books.
Meanwhile - the moment\'s gone for me. I forgot what \'Carpe diem\' meant. By the time I found out, there was no day left to seize (not that corny joke gain, Orchi. lol).

\"The back-end of warmth\" - wonderful description of the coming of winter.
Once more your words enthrall me Fay - let us all recharge our paucity and look forward to a wonderfully happy new year.

Nice work Fay. Excellent interplay of sensory impressions and the sensations of feeling that lead toward :
\"the preview

I really like how you synthesise contemplative and seasonal tones.
Thank you

without doubt a very special early winter song with an incredibly deft daubing of associated imagery and literary tone ............

Such a delicate mastery of words. Beautiful, yet sharp images result. Thank you for that. An important write for those of us who are aging and reflecting on time.

Oh I know where you are coming from and in any other year I would be living the changes you describe but 2020...really LOL I have been in dwindle mode for months. I feel like a bear huddled away in its winter cave with a stash of food. Yes i sleep more too.

But all that apart, superb poetry again Fay. A reminder for me of what the onset of winter feels like and just as your beginning tells, i recall so many winters were truly started when something different in the air first enters the nostrils and truly you know, winter is here.

Roll on next spring when hopefully we can both write of the pleasures of being out among it\'s rejuvenation and perhaps with loved ones too.

A great reflection of love, a real sense of it diffused through experience and of a slow retreat that is lifted at the end with fresh buds of promise. Thanks for sharing this.
