Reflections on Love.
dusk arising said:

It is sad to see the words of loves frailty here. Their meaning can only be truly understood by those who have lived them. Somewhere between verses three and four, anyone with such experience would build a fence of apprehension to defend the heart and contain the desire for verse four.

Love, such a wonderful emotion with so much destructive power. If only we could harness it\'s positives and erase the negative.... if only.

I admit I\'m a little confused Fay, but the imagery was so immersive I tried at least three or four times before I surrendered, too much for me - sadly, but still - what an enjoyable examination of my limitations

Fay, if you don\'t mind me being so forward, your work is something to aspire to. When one thinks of poetry, your work comes to mind... There\'s such imagery, such depth and feeling. Not just fancy words on a page with a rhyme. Simply wonderful.

Bring on again the warmer days when you may sit among the flowers or walk through windblown falling blossom.
I just read M.E.s post today and i am so hopefully looking forward to next spring when once more the garden of life may bloom for us all.

Good write Fay.
Yes, in my \'Isaiah Series\' of poems, there is often reference to nature too.
You know my \'The Silent Poem\'? No words in it, but it goes on for 4,367 verses. Dunno how I know that though, if there are no words to it! lol. (that\'s just your excuse for not writing a poem, Orchi!).

Your first three verses take me on yet another familiarity infused trip of alternate existence. Only you find words to encourage your reader in, so close, that with closed eyes and a pinch of imagination, I could be there fluttering too in the chill of late afternoon.

Enchanting.

\"When will they ever learn?\" See, this reminded me of Pete Seeger\'s \"Where Have All The Flowers Gone?\" Your seasonal interpretation of war\'s folly and the aftermath of fallen souls and fields that yield to Nature, reminds us all to never forget the useless horror of war. We must constantly remind ourselves of the brutal cost of such actions .those that gave the greatest sacrifice must also be remembered as the heroes that they were . Yet we, the living, must never let it happen again. Fay, a stirring piece of poetry. - Phil A.
