Dip Your Brush Into Sunshine.
spilleronsheet said:

How beautiful are the lines
And how intriguing they are
The life lessons learnt here
The canvas is yours
So are the paints
Choose the colour of sunshine to make it bright for the rest of the days

Dip Your Brush Into Sunshine.

A fine bright write Gold.
I read a saying I had not heard before. Something like: \'It does not take all day to realise the sun is shining\'. It was relating to using various technology, now that more is available in this day and age.
Just to \'see\' the possibilities of it, if we are into I.T. as we see the sun, and it doesn\'t take us all day to notice it.
Something like that anyway!
Well, more I.T than in 1066 at least.
Some tecchies call non-tecchies \'dinosaurs\'.

Dear Gold !!
Awesome lines !!

So when you dip your brush in the future
Dip your brush in sunshine,
To paint that love into your life.

Very creative and thoughtful !!

You are a master Andy. It would have been a shock for her and also a nice feeling to know that her reading has inspired the poet in you.

So well defined
The word has so many emotions inside
A simple word in dictionary but for a poet it maybe a book telling a life
Well crafted dear Andy

an eclectic blend of hope and surrender
that exemplifies the true turmoil, in solitude\'s nature
a very intriguing concept, Andy

An acquired delight, solitude is. Not for everyone. I\'m quite certain though, many of us here get exactly what it means. A powerful write. Kudos to you, Andy.

I suppose you\'ve got to get it all in prospective. A bit of togetherness, a bit of solitude to regain your thoughts.

Soilitude, that much misunderstood word. Solidity of will and purpose stands out in your words.

\'I want to be alone\'. Just call me Great (Garbo).
Being alone, and experiencing solitude, may not be exactly the same things though.

A bookaholic I am
So true you describe the addiction stored
While the lady was reading a book
You surely were reading a life book
And a reader and poet is a wonderful combination
It adds to intuition of people
I wonder what was the lady’s reaction to the poetry of yours

The people watching poems you write bring up all kinds of subjects. How brave you are to present your writing to strangers. I would be afraid that it would be seen as a chat-up tecnique in the circumstance you describe with a lady alone.
For me reading has become a luxury reserved now for liesure times away from home now. I started a Grisham novel in hospital but it remains half read. Roll on nicer weather and days out in the car with a peaceful read.

I\'m sure she was with you in spirit and encouraging you to be the man she loves so much.
Many a lesser man could allow standards to drop but in reading your post today it\'s plain to see that\'s not your way.
Live long and prosper you ball basher.

there\'s nothing as barren
as a table, for one
still, in a month or so
you\'ll be approaching: two years!
and I can only praise you
for the strength and positivity
you demonstrate daily;
choose to believe, in that reunion scene
that approaches
with each passing, sigh..
stay strong, my friend
(salmon cooking details
is mouth-watering, btw)

A wholesome envy (not a sin) fills me as I read this piece. Stuck indoors shielding grrrrr. Though I\'m not as gregarious as yourself, a stroll through town, a walk in the parkland is on my wishlist.

Yes I have read this as an untypical day in the life of a certain Goldfinch.
