And The Wind Blows.

Excellent writing Andy. And the jazz video I thought was wonderful. Very talented musicians. And what I wouldn\'t give to be able to play guitar like that. ; )

The clouds, the trees, the sea, the waves of corn..all provoked rich memories - thanks, Andy.
The bike? Ahh the bike...rode one for years - try bottom gear...No good? Plan a trip in the opposite direction and hope the bloody wind has exhausted itself by the time you have to get home....

And the wind blows
as I sit in the bathroom
staring at the washbasin.

Love the sound of that quartet (but theyre not quite polished at that style of jazz yet). Names to watch out for in years ahead.
Sound is reminiscent of a lot of ECM jazz recordings who use similar groupings.

Excellent poetry.

I know the feeling so well Andy. For Sharon I have a playlist of 290 songs so far. I\'ve been thinking of writing a poem about it. Great write here Andy. Love it.

Laughter On The Lawn.
L. B. Mek said:

well then
let us toast, us \'old twats\'
who survived
to keep our loved ones, alive
within each smile
we display: Defiantly, each day!
\'Cheers\' 🍻 - my friend
to many more years, being serenaded
by laughter\'s music
while watching youthful vitality, script
their future\'s: tears of regret...

Even teenagers are young. It\'s said youth are still developing their road-sense even at age 12 - crossing busy roads, etc.
You got road sense? That No.7 bus arrived yet?! lol.

Wynton is probably the most technically proficient trumpet player of all time. What he is doing on circular breathing alone is mind blowing. Whilst being dazzled by his playing here, I would much rather enjoy the picture being painted rather than be dazzled. I.E. Chet never dazzled but painted with his soul.

Well as one \"old twat\" to another. Long live being an old twat, they may never achieve it.

Nothing To Prove.
L. B. Mek said:

insightful observations Andy,
indeed, what most colours the perception we have for others
is our projection of what we assume
we would be like, in their shoes..
but like the bequeathed wisdom of our ancestral teachings
until we\'ve walked in the other persons shoes
we can not judge, merely: speculate...
or in more accessibly palatable: biblical terminology
\'Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam
out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou
see clearly to cast out the mote
out of thy brother\'s (&/or sisters) eye.\'

Their days will come, when they are twattish! Is that a word?
Well, we are very old, you and I. They got that bit right.
We would tell them:\'Do you know, lads, back in 1066 we......\'

Other than on a race track those supercars have never attracted me. Yes the original Lamborghini Miura in 69 had beautiful lines which were soon lost as it was \'bettered\' by later models.
I\'m happy with my old Mercedes estate which will go fast if i want it to but these days i\'m more interested in getting high MPG than speeding.
They do look add and out of place among normal cars and I do agree that I expect them to be driven with pace and a show of accelleration. Why I wonder?

Good write Gold. It becomes tiresome if a fast car or motorbike roars past us just to show off, on the road, or while we\'re walking along the path.

You\'re words are so true. I was once tasked with training graduates and some wanted to take time and learn while others simply believed a qualification meant they could jump on the promotion ladder without trying. Needless to say they soon realised their mistakes.
