Lovely Goldfinch.

What is the first thing you do every day? Is it the opening of that present, and the release of that joy, or is it more mundane and routine?

Maybe it isn\'t that formulaic (honestly my mind struggles to see how it could be), but I ask because I am curious, and want to know more about that first hour :)

My Life With Nature.
Fay Slimm. said:

So good to read of your walks with nature and feeling at one with the wonderful array of plants birds and animals - thank you for sharing the awe with us Andy - - humanity was intended to find joy in these glorious things.

as I read, a part of me remembered Monet\'s Japanese footbridge, though I have no idea how my uncultured self came up with that comparison, still
thanks for the wonderful journey within words Andy

I wanted such a day, though: Into the wood I walked, and it rained! \' Doh! Well, the trees were some shelter.

One Day More.
L. B. Mek said:

\'One day more without her,\'..
but also, dear friend
one day more of her memory
filling-up all the empty holes
in life\'s horizons
so this one day more, however painful
is yet another gift she\'s bestowed upon your life
that some other\'s will never get to experience..

much deeper in meaning than a first readthrough would reveal..
a layered write Andy, indeed
however miniscule - in scale, we may represent against the endless magnitude of existence: we all, make a meaningful impact in our own subtle way
(admittedly not always positive, but impactful all the same)

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose) said:

I like this poem . I found a book once , about writing but it said to write from your heart and not to think about it too much ... because the mind sometimes gets in the way .

It\'s very spiritual too: \'Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit\' (John 12 v.24).

Doggerel Dave said:

It\'s obvious to me Andy, that your whole problem is embodied in the line \'Driving in unity with the road\'. Your blind faith in the bitumen is what lead you astray. You are a poet - let the power of your poetry allow you to abandon your attachment and raise yourself above all such petty restrictions....or something.

L. B. Mek said:

ah, dear poet
demonstrating the gateway to that \'woosah\' mindset, writing can represent
indeed, let it all out..
still, kinda crazy how obstacles will present themselves in the most random of situations,
guess that\'s why all those \'great thinkers\' try to convince people they can only control their reaction\'s to existence,
seldom can we enact the exact actions we want, without slight hiccups awaiting in our path..
I\'m sorry but I found this a rather humorous read, Andy
though mainly because as a Londoner, I relate to your frustration so much I think,
its the case of either laugh or cry, at this point.. lol
