My Christmas Present.
spilleronsheet said:

Great one dear Andy
Never too late to ask for a present
And it’s better to have one that heart desires
Is it not the true spirit of giving presents to each other ?

The Lesson Of Life.
Laura🌻 said:

Andy,

You’re so spot on with with your brilliant write. I’ve always believed in ‘stillness’ and made time for it. I call it my ‘me time’. As of late, I devote more time to my ‘me time’. It rejuvenates me in thoughts and deeds.

Thank you for penning and sharing your beautiful thoughts. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Taking a moment to stand back, to breathe, take in a slow deep breath and contemplate on all that is and all that can be. Wonderful write Andy. 😊

More so now than ever. With the nonstop din of modernity we all need stillness/quiet in our lives less we get caught up in the maelstrom.

Etiquette is shunned in today’s world. I recently attended a funeral and was ashamed of humanity to see majority of the people in jeans and T-shirts. What’s happening to us, for we have lost the glamour of dressing up for theatre, elegant restaurants, for formal occasions and …….

Oh yes, well remembered. I used to wear a 3 piece suit and regularly complimented on my appearance by superiors (didn\'t go down well among some of my colleagues) and at one time when I worked for a newspaper, we had to have permission to remove our jacket in warm weather.
Lookig back on great times. I don\'t have a suit that fits me these says.

Yes all my working life I was booted and suited - Iin my late 70\'s I still take an interest in clothes and make sure I\'m dressed (but not formally) in accordance with modern styles. Straight leg trousers, informal shirts, tee shirts in the summer BUT never with graffiti, just got a Moncler jacket - costs an arm and a leg but looks so good, casual shoes (only leather for more formal occasions - light tan is my favourite). I wonder how it is with so many clothes shops on the high street that so many look so scruffy. I actually love shopping for clothes - don\'t know what this says about me.

Yes - I continued ranting. In that particular church online, a leader wore a hoodie and jeans - and not a young leader.
I\'m not against jeans and T-shirts in church. We don\'t have to wear Sunday best, but it looked scruffy. Part of their overall \'attitude\' where they just amble on, same old choruses, etc. What do I care really? I\'m not even there now!
