Every one makes mistakes at one time or another. Taking the wrong road. But from that mistake we learn to turn around and try another. We don\'t know what our futures bring. We can only do the very best that we can. And yes we learn from our mistakes. In my case I must be one smart guy. Because I\'ve made many mistakes . I enjoyed reading you poem. Thank you for sharing.

by design or chaotic luck
our fallibility is unquestioned,
a part of us, a tool
to be utilised
and so let us buckle and trip, again and again, maybe even fall,
once in a while
but come, when our time for accountability is nigh upon us,
and there
we\'ll stand twice, as erect
and twice more, emboldened
by self accumulated, meaningful pride..
success out of failure: Yes,
I like the flavour
of that: \'slice of life\'...!
(you\'ve done it again, my friend
got me flying away into spontaneity of those emotional dancing qwerty keys,
lets hope it all makes some kind of sense, in the end) lol
thank you, my friend
found your words to be unassumingly: inspirational!

Sometimes we feel our decisions might be the best ones at the time but looking back we realise it wasn’t . I guess we only make decisions the best we can , with how we’re feeling at the time

So true Andy.
I think it goes hand in hand with \"let us not judge a man by what he achieved but rather by the obstacles he overcame along the way\"

I have memories of steam train travel as a kid, I worked with them later in Oz and on visits to the UK have sought out steam rides when I could. For me there’s something mystical in that kind of steel creation (I love Victorian engineering).
The irritating thing is that a small corner of my mind cannot erase an image of the way those iron horses came to degrade and pollute pristine countryside as the rail network was developed….

the worst aspect of Time, for me
is its lulling lope of indifference
if I close my eyes
I\'m back, to that childhood field trip
begging for the day to end
yearning for that something, I urgently
couldn\'t wait, to begin
and yet, dear Poet
I remember the long day
but forget, what it was I was so desperate
to rush towards...
that\'s what Time steals from us
(in my humble opinion)
our inability to realise, in the moment
what we\'re truly wanting to achieve or experience
and so, as my ears bring back
that incessant train track, drum line
of regret\'s heartbeat - I too, listen and sigh
deep
wishing, wondering: will today be another one
I will allow, to pass-by
without realising, what I really cherish
in my now of life?
(such a deeply contemplative write Andy
had me rambling-on, in this haphazard comment
forgive me)

Evesham of course sits on the OWW railway. Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton rlwy nicknamed \'the old worse and worse\'.
The famous poem Adlestrop by Edward Thomas celebrates the long gone station at Adlestrop on the OWW.
You can catch the great atmoshere of a steam train \'slow train\' by taking a ride at non holiday times on the local SEvern Valley Railway (kidderminster to Bridgenorth) where it calls at several tiny stations each with a great atmosphere of their own. Or the west somerset railway at Minehead.
Yes, I\'m a fan of preserved railways but not the crowds they attract.
