Hee hee Brian. Well, it seems dragons could be sea monsters, big creatures in the sea, etc. Surprisingly The Message Version, usually too paraphrased for me, has \'sea dragons\'. I usually use KJV for my hymn-poems.

Thanks STEVE for a great EIGHT STANZA poem set to an awesome tune ~ one of my favorites. Remember in HYMNS we cross into the Spiritual Dimension ~ so not only Angels and Archangels abound but also mythical creatures from the nether regions DRAGONS ~ DEMONS & HOBGOBLINS ! BRIAN

Very good and moving write Orchi. There is nothing so sad as young children losing their lives in any way.

That is very moving. The words flow with loss when also being literal. Thank you.

I know it\'s not a \'hymn\' as such, though could be used for some memorial occasion maybe? I\'ve only written this now, in 2017, though the event was in 1968. Just didn\'t get round\' to setting it to poetry.

Good write. Had the best fish and chips ever in Whitby and I still remember the cost. Fish chips, bread and butter and a cup of tea £3.50. The piece of fish over hung both side of the plate!

And including views of a sunny Whitby Fish Market, if you live there, holiday there! The original hymn is by Bishop William Walsham How, also the author of \'For All The Saints\'.

Erm, based on a rather \'modern\' hymn. Well, 1982. That\'s modern enough for me, seeing as I was around in 1066, so I say! heehee.
I\'m not against \'modern\', though it\'s tricky to make some of them rhyme - if I must rhyme?!
