Hey, my friend, this carries a steady, grounding power—like faith in ink and bone.
I love the way your words rise and hold, firm against the quiet pull of doubt.

Another great hymn that I can imagine being sung in any church, except for those raucous ones. Orchi you sly dog you it just occurred to me all this time you say you are not into metaphors and the Bible is full of them.

Amen. Beautiful hymn-poem, my friend!

Now, if we could forget some unrighteous glugging by P and Co., that would be beautiful too! LOL! Not happening, is it? They\'re incorrigible, I tell you! 🤣

There’s an old hymn’s backbone in this—steady, unashamed of its faith.
You let righteousness stand tall without apology, like a man who’s weathered doubt and still kneels firm.

I learn this in 6th grade. The purpose of the poem is to inspire faith, promote moral conduct, and provide assurance to the faithful that their devotion will lead to divine favor and security. It serves as both a reminder of the virtues of a righteous life and a warning of the consequences of wickedness.

Orchi…glugs…spinach tin cracked…Popeye flex engaged. Alleluia indeed. 🤮🤣

But truly, this is joyful and reverent in equal measure. The sweep from sea monsters to dust to Spirit feels expansive and grounded at once. It sings. You’ve honored the psalm’s wonder without losing your own voice. Beautifully done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Forgiving Father
Tristan Robert Lange said:

Wonderful, Orchi! I love how you are focusing on forgiveness in the Old Testament, as most people think that it is all about doom, gloom, fire and brimstone, but there is much forgiveness in the OT, and there is fire and brimstone in the NT. The God of both is the same and the forgiveness is God\'s MO (though sometimes it is hard to see that) throughout. People are the ones who keep rejecting it, if one follows the Bible closely. Anywho, love this focus my friend.

Now, the question is, can one be forgiven for endless glugs? Does the Bible even cover this? Jesus did say the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the spirit, but what about glugging on the spirit? Time will tell, I suppose! LOL! 😂

Your poem revolves around the theme of divine mercy and forgiveness. It emphasizes the compassionate nature of God, who is portrayed as gracious, slow to anger, and willing to forgive human shortcomings. The poem conveys a message of hope and gratitude for the divine love that transcends human failings.
