Your mind is so creative it\'s scary. It is interesting to me that creativity is often accompanied by a personal challenge of one kind or another, like your eating disorder and my Asperger\'s syndrome. Einstein had his own demons, as did many other creative geniuses. At any rate, I\'m very glad to be a recipient of your gift of expression, Renzi.

I always anticipate Renzi\'s slice of life scribes! Wouldn\'t it be better if they at least rewarded you with a little sweet?

Can\'t speak, racing heart, contemplating running, taking deep breaths.....this sounds like a major, life-threatening operation. What a build-up!
Then a little nip...what let-down!
Wasn\'t it Shakespeare who said \'Much ado about nothing\'?
Just teasing Renzi, I like it!!!

I can\'t watch as they draw my blood for fear of getting light headed. Squeamish when it comes to seeing the parts of us that exist inside, probably a past life thing. Thanks for this relatable poem, Renzi!

Good write. Some years ago I had a problem where my blood kept on having to be tested and I swear that an alert was put out to all the doctors surgeries to look out for me, drag me off the street and take some more blood. All is well now.

Just a little scratch they say as they stab you - missing the vein. Laughed out loud at the (running). \'Patiently wait\' (can\'t visualise that one). Once again from \'a day in the life of Renzi\' you pluck a nugget and place it before us with such style. Love it!

Very strong write. I agree with FredPeyer that there is a switch inside you that needs to be switched off about these thoughts. Beauty flows out of your eyes and out of from your words, we can all see it in you. Stay strong. Throw away the medical notes.

You wrote about ugly but in such a beautiful way. I laughed when you say giraffe neck because my neck is long and because of that I suffer from a neck pain doing my job that requires me to be looking down for many hours. When I look at the mirror I do see some imperfection but when I begun to age and my ex begun to criticize me trying to put me down I told him that I could not get better and if he was not happy he could go find someone younger. I did not change a thing on myself but I did change husbands. I believe we all have the right to be happy exactly the way we are. Exercise the compassion my dear. Compassion begin with ourselves. Thanks for your poem and believe me, you are better than you think.

Renzi, you are really letting it all hang out here. I love the writing, but hate to tell you that it\'s all wrong, wrong, wrong!
I also know that you know, but somewhere inside that lovely head is a little switch that needs to be turned off. The trick is to find it and actually turn it off. And when you find it you will finally get off this crazy merry-go-round and realize yourself what beautiful person you are.
