When you lend money to family or friends, you should never expect to get it back. Sorry she lost her money. Cute way to get the f-bomb in the poem.

Wow. I really stirred something up with this write, didn\'t I? I\'m sorry, but that is exactly what happened and is the truth all around. There were so many people out there that have expressed views on this. Yes, I wish he were punished and I know that Leaders of Churches do these types of things! There was an incident right here in N. E. Ohio that was so public, it went to trial and the Priest was convicted and sentenced to prison! With that case, drugs were even involved! Imagine, in a Catholic Church (Jesuit)!

Good emotive write, his time will come. In my book anyone who mistreats children should be given the severest punishment, I have my own idea of how to treat them but I cannot say it on here.

So many preachers and priests ... so many perverts! Is there a connection? Did they choose that profession in order to have the access to and power over children in order to use it in this way? Makes you wonder. I suspect many did exactly that. Thank you for sharing this revealing, honest poem, Edward. My sympathies.

Well, there\'s a true hypocrite! Not like some poems, where poets self-accuse themselves unnecessarily of being hypocrites, I think. His day will come, his time will come, sure enough!

Edward I believe that the problem may be there are so many poems written on the site that some get missed when reading them. As others have said it works better when comments on our own poems come from others. I to try to read most poems but the time constraints do kick in sometimes.
I am not concerned about sexuality, gender, religion or colour it is the words on the page that are important.

Interesting subject but i guess amongst poets you\'d be unlikely to find homophobics. I know my works get varying response. Either due to quality or whether ppl can relate to it.

Edward, I comment on a lot of poems, not because of who wrote them, or who or what the writer is. The comments are about the poem. Unfortuntely I cannot read everything due to time restraints. Actually will have to take a week off since I am overloaded with work. As Michael already said, it is a two-way street. I like it when poets whose work I admire, join my circle of friends, simply because it makes it so much easier to comment. Click on \'Friends\', and voila, I don\'t have to search through the whole general section.

Your sexual preference, your race, your religion, or anything else \'yours\' has nothing to do with me commenting. It\'s your writing!

I think you may have jumped to a conclusion. A response is evoked by whether or not a poem resonates or moves the reader. I\'ve seen no evidence on this site of what you suggest, Edward.

This is a fine posting but to answer the question: if you simply post and sit back waiting for comments to come along you will most likely be disappointed. If you would welcome comments then you must also make input by commenting on the work of others. This also applies to the site where most of my art work is displayed and I know of photography sites where the same rule applies. Certainly I don\'t think subject matter comes into at all - and if it does then it\'s a sad reflection on contributors.

This may just be a coincidence, not every poem you post is going to have lots of comments. Quality may have changed for some people, there may have been different people reading them. One reply is not bad. I would\'nt judge people like that when there is no actual proof of judgement towards that poem. Gay was not even mentioned.
