Oh so sweet. You pretty much made me cry for those days. One exception for us. Mom didn\'t have time to check behind the ears on Monday morning. Four boys who had just fed the cows and pigs and collected the eggs. Bus at 7 am. Best to you!

Such a mature and wise view of life. It is not only the bitter medicine that our mother gave us that made us well but the belief in getting better and all the things we have to look forward to. May all your days be summer days.

I am enthralled by the way you have personified this bane of your life, embracing and accepting it. I am in awe of your fortitude and great courage. May those summer days be dazzling my friend.

The mind is filled with so many doors, just waiting for the right key. When and how always seems a mystery. But often, when least expected, the portal opens to reveal thoughts that were just waiting for the right time to show themselves. We may never know the triggers, but they are there. Such a wonderfully, contemplative write dear friend.

We all question ourselves at times and it is how we respond to these questions that shapes our future. Cast off the chains and fight the beast.

Living in a neighborhood that is surrounded by woodlands, I\'ve had the privilege of seeing mothers with newborn fauns in the spring and summer, in my backyard. This poem speaks to me of the innocence I see in those beautiful creatures, more legs than body at this point. Of how they follow mom, and explore everything. A clean slate, waiting for life\'s experiences. A beautiful analogy of all life, so tenderly written.

I don\'t know why but I initially thought of Bambi (maybe it was the reference to shaky legs) whatever the case may have been for what I now think was just a random association ..

I now however, believe that your \'as if\' raises both an interesting age old question and also hints at the fact we are only initially fearful of what we do not first understand ..

avoidance behaviour tending to make the anxiety and associated fear much worse .. and conversely by confronting whatever it is, whether a situation, a circumstance, or an anticipated event ..

Further furthermore ( I couldn\'t resist that) .. I am reminded of the uniqueness of each individual and remember my old uni lecturer asking me why when faced with precisely the same set of disturbing circumstances do the three individuals present respond in distinctly different ways .. in effect that the first may run away, the second be frozen with fear much like a rabbit or a guinea-pig might (just checking to see who\'s looking) and the third individual stand and confront or fight ...........Neville
