The first time I read it, I read it like a metaphor, the skylight, the window to...
The unfathomable, beautiful, dark, exciting, everything and nothing.

Like taking a journey through consciousness.

And I do love the starlit sky.

So after reading the comments I read it and wondered of the window being the thing that shapes perception and makes it all the things it could become. In an endless kind of way.

And then I wondered of that feeling you get when you look up on a clear night. It is just an indescribable feeling. No mirrors or windows. Just straight to the soul.

It was gentle and reached out to me.

The first stanza grabs you, and pulls you along the rest of the pleasant ride.
I enjoyed the read, Nev.

Ah a quiet view of night\'s allure.Sky mapped with stars gives pen all it needs and your lines add the mystery of dreams behind windows - - good read Nev - - poets have incurably curious minds and closed doors or curtained windows do the same for me.

Metaphor for drowning in a relationship? only to find oneself washed limp into the harbour - a place where people begin and end their relationships with the ocean. A fine place to begin to live again.

Mountains of passion fade to calm once the crashing waves finally stop.

Would be appropriate to mourn such passing.

Short, sweet with amazing depth in today\'s write from you N.

I was just reviewing a chapter in my book and it was kind of having both. Mountain and ocean...

Maybe I’ll share it...

For some reason I thought of the Four Horsemen when I read this. Getting dragged by them beneath the waves would be a frightening thing indeed.

Well I\'m a realist so I read it as it is written - a life lost at sea and washed ashore. The only hesitation I have is the word \'exhausted\' in the penultimate stanza. A fine write Neville.

It reminded me a little of the notion of acceptance and commitment therapy, I quite liked the idea of accepting the wild horses escorting me, seemed a little humbling maybe.

Maybe maya needs some white horses!

A scare of a read yet phrased with great metaphor - - deadness which calls for a lively escort of salty white horses draws me back to the times I have, watching, wondered what lies right below........a bleak but compelling read Nev.

It is indeed odd how a scent on one lady can differ from the same scent on another, intoxication though both may be.
Methinks this olfactory sensation stimulates parts other scents cannot reach..... and there is an untold madonna present.
