Thanks Neville.

An excellent poem.

We must preserve paper more to prevent the pain.

Faceless, paper dolls are truly dangerous to a man\'s heart. However, with a face, some flesh, and a name, they can hurt even more. Great little thought provoking ditty. Loved it.- Phil A.

Yes we do see them along the high street, in their chains of magazine picture devotion. Hearts bleeding from failure to connect with the rest of humanity..... but some of them look marvellous.

Faceless.

A painful metaphor.

But maybe I’m just having a grey paper day...

The Last Hurt

Such a strong write Neville, those hurts can really affect us but I am so glad that it was a while ago and your life appears to be back on a smooth course. We all have those hurts but we also have had the time to get over them.

Sooner or later heartbreak finds us all. Love\'s darker side leaves a lifelong mark. We try to remove it, to hide it, to rid ourselves of it in any way possible Yet it remains. Knowledge, that the other will one day suffer the same fate lets us balance out our lives. At least the knife gets removed. Nice poem of recovery this. Enjoyed its small taste of vengeance. - Phil A.

Wow- - this must come from the core of one who has suffered real hurt that takes a while to get over, if ever - - I know - - - - only a quick read for me at the weekend but those last couple of lines went close to the cause of a breaking or broken relationship and stung me to comment. Brave and honest those lines my friend

I\'ll hurt ya - continually. Hurt ya ears that is. But how? Well, I\'ll just sing. Then they\'ll hurt me in return, so I\'ll never be able to sing again. I can\'t give details of what they\'ll do to me. I will only make myself swoon.
I just popped in to post this waffle. lol

Great write Neville although I always find the pain we have (When we have it) it the worst pain in the world don\'t you?
I guess there is always someone worse off than us?

Ouch?

This is what I say to myself every morning lol.

Not sure I got it though?

As if it is about being hurt I should not make light of it.

Sorry,

I always struggle with vengeance and retribution though. I would never want another to feel misery I would always try and absolve that as much as I could. Even if that person causes me abject misery.

Of course then there is another way I could read this too.

I think I have a hangover, sorry.

To be whole and in the moment comes through clearly in this plea for friendship that need not be love - a piece to read over again - good this thought is and true that close friendship should never be finished. A compelling read Nev. .
