The evolution of man was inscribed
I read the Darwin theory but slept halfway unkind
But alas i hit a jackpot reading such a beautiful evolution of a butterfly
Who summed up all emotions of mine
A vivid poetry
With such engaging imagery
Last year summed up in those lines
A very engaging and intriguing poetry
Hats off dear Mek

If only animals could speak, they might be asking themselves what the hell is going on with the humans.
I suppose we\'re all on a journey, and for some the journey will end prematurely. I suppose, like the animals, the obstacles are in front of us too, and maybe some nice soul might be at hand to help us out. You paint one magical poignant poem.

A protean use of language describing the spinning wheel of life we all so erratically stumble through. Really interesting read. I can say that I read through long poems way too quickly (always in a hurry...hey, I can relate to the tempo this poem sets). Favoriting for sure.

A virtual saga of deliciously fertile imagination taking shapes and phrasing in happenings that blend so well together - - a wonderful trip around your awakening to life and to butterfly death as like the rest of nature you watch struggles end in acceptance........ this is now in my list of reads-again L.B. and thanks for the effort I know it takes to escape when the Muse leads the way to expression with engaging words. First class writing my friend.

This is really good favourite bit is....

Chuckling cynically, I return
to my rumbling’s, thundering needs
archaic Amygdala’s, heritage
of survivalist Neanderthal, priorities

This is how I feel you captured it all perfectly. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work

This is a fantastic poem.

Late night’s, spent together
as music, seeps-in a little deeper
immersed, in swaying habits
as alcohol, tastes a little sweeter
and our good mood\'s, ever linger

That\'s my favourite verse... brought back some good memories for me.
Thanks for sharing your work with us

Never have I found the words offensive
Maybe the years haven’t been normal for sometime
Don’t know how long will it take to normalise
Yet saturdays were pretty beautiful back in those days
Now hooked up on a desk with computer and net
All days look same
With work and no respite
Gloomy
Only at mps it marks a change of atmosphere for me
With those pens who are magic wands
The poets make me travel to wonderful places or witness the past memories as they weave those

Never apologise for words written in earnest, unless the guy\'s name is actually, Earnest. It\'s great that you\'ve stopped to do the maths, and found extra sleeping days, though something tells me someone else has done the maths too, and the grandkids are staying longer now.

I must say \"Watermelons in Winter\" is a great title encapsulating the intent of your poem. Some great phrases, \"life\'s murky rivers,\' \"Spring happy,\" \"starlit blankets,\" \"scratching out sunrays,\" all very profound. Your opening lines catch the reader\'s attention. All in all, a well-done poem and a Fave for me. - Phil A.

M25 typical, motorway jam

never, been sweet

but definitely sticky, a situation

at a quarter, to any Sunset hour

bumbler to bumper

ghost face, to glare

we hobble along, knowing

‘we’, are the lucky ones.

....
My favourite verse.
