The Talking Clock
orchidee said:

I lived for a while, when young, on top floor - 14th floor - of a block of flats.
I worry if I lived there now - what if there was a fire? Thought there was only once, in a rubbish chute. I would feel claustrophobic living there now. And no Fidos allowed there, aww.

Love the humour here Dave. I experienced living in a block of flats many years ago. Her upstairs always put her washing machine on at 11.00pm. The final spin, an hour later used to do my head in as the ceiling shook. Sounds like you had a good evening.

The two letter word that came to mind was (F-U) but then that is where my mind goes to. Yes we is a good one too or us, or me but then I would need a mirror you see.

In reply, call me \'One Sir Orchi NS\'. lol.

The Hopeville Hilton Hospital - ity

I once had a patient that said God was talking to her through her TV it came about she had been watching too many TV evangelical shows and one took on the form of God. Although there is humor and sometimes irritation in such people they are people none the less and deserve the same respect. Loved the write.

Love
Meera Mere said:

\"Attempts to define them must surely fail –

Descriptions are futile; let’s have a tale.

I know the love I feel, you know yours too;

Please keep it that way and give life it’s due.\"
Can\'t be expressed better. This poem certainly eased a part of my mind. Thank you so much Doggerel Dave 😊

This marks your and my age in that I remember the ride on steam locomotives when you had to keep the windows closed so as not to dirty your shirt. A fun read and yes poetic license is to be encouraged.

That gives new meaning to passing wind. Most interesting in that it seems that people will go to enormous lengths to further war.

Covid 19
sorenbarrett said:

A great relief Dave. Now long after this I can look back and say prevention was critical for the old and those predisposed to respiratory illness or other sicknesses but we seem to have been misled in many ways and for some the vaccine was as dangerous as the illness itself. A great write at a time that the illness was running through the mass\'

Trees - or Something.

Yes trees do talk or at least communicate with each other so I hear and believe. But I think that in their way they are aware of us as well and maybe must maybe it is us that are not aware of them. Great words

My Spell Checker
sorenbarrett said:

Nothing worse than to have a word changed without knowing it\'s spelling downgraded and even worse when no matter if spelling it correctly it insists it is wrong. Very confusing the difference in United States spelling and British is it gray or grey? I would prefer black and white.

Necropolis Nonsense While on a Tour…
Bella Shepard said:

Dearest Dave, verily I say unto to you, this is a beautifully crafted poem in every respect. Now I did have to google \"taking the Mickey\", which I had never heard before, and I think it most appropriate that God, wink wink, would annoint his favorite archangel in this most laudable way. You cheeky little devil, after my own heart!
