Iโve always felt like an old soul myself, in the sense that I feel like a 70 yr old in the body of a 19 yr old, lol. The way you use the term as a reflection of your roots though, as you so beautifully articulate in this poem, is beyond beautiful. โTime itself had to wait for meโ is such a powerful line. I think this poem has given voice to the many who came before you who didnโt have the platform nor opportunity to do so. ๐ค

Like old furniture old souls are not always valued or recognized for their worth. A beautiful write that holds a bit of sadness

\"Living in a new world, with an old soul,\" as Anthony sang it.
I remember finishing reading Lord of the Rings when I was 15. I didn\'t want to live in this world anymore. It is a lonely era.
Powerful write!

Great metaphors in this poem the analogies are solid and most applicable. Carefully chosen wording helps with the power of this poem, Old soul indeed.

This poem has such a gentle undercurrent! Itโs special when men pen lovely words.

If memories were gold...this poem just made me realize that we Can re-live those carefree times even in this age of technology and everything artificial . Life is as natural and as pure as we live it. Great poem

Siblings... a vivid image, but exactly whose cord are they using, theirs or yours? Luckily my many brothers abstained from attempted murder, though they do break my heart sometimes. I get it, brother, I get it.

Grandma\'s Cooking
Rocky Lagou said:
I swear you do not have a single miss!
I love this poem so mucchhhh. The description of a grandma\'s pure love, and the way you sort of snapped the reader back to reality with the cooking that\'s taking place at the end, ugh it\'s just so good.
I suddenly miss my Cuban abuela\'s warm embrace, she lives in Miami and I\'m up here near Atlanta :,(
