It’s a dog eat dog world out there. Nature is nature. Has a mind of its own, can’t be controlled. We are forever trying to save something. Maybe more effort should be put in to saving ourselves. As a species we can be pitiful. Great write Soren

\"where once towered mighty trees\" seems to be more and more places wherever I look. Humans too readily forget that without trees, and grass and bushes and such, there will be no us.

I love trees. Living in an island like Puerto Rico, trees are everywhere. I enjoyed reading your poem. It reminded me of the enormous tree in my neighborhood.

Majestically penned here sorenbarrett!

I can imagine your inner monologue reading this, in a sage like tone, setting the scene of a stage play.

Well worth a favouriting, bravo, and I hope that all is well.

Always a great sadness to see trees felled. This poem is beautifully visual. Out of the ashes sprout new life. Mother Nature is so resilient. Wonderful poetry Soren. I have such an affinity with trees.
