Be thankful you have relatively sedate dream awakenings. Mine can be reactive, often accompanied by screams and cursing. Nice write.

I can\'t help but see you said true love \"should\" always pull through. Not convinced?

The rich quality of the dream I remember seems to fade gently, but the underlying mood or feeling lingers longer.
A sonnet I found quite personal to me and felt satisfied after.

Really lovely expression in this Triolet. The rhyme is so subtle it is barely noticed.
Well done.

A wonderful sonnet on dreams, my friend. We still don\'t know a whole lot about the mind and dreams are both a known, universal phenomenon and a mystery all at the same time! Loved this poem and its an easy fave. Well done, friend! 🌹👏

Buried in this beautiful complex rhyme scheme lies the metaphor of life itself under the covers of dreams and this life is a dream itself at least so said Poe In his poem, a dream within a dream. The flow of this poem is quite classic, and it is polished with internal rhyme. Most beautiful poem.

I thought it was a poem that could only be written with a delicate descriptive ability. And yet, it makes a powerful appeal to love. It is amazing!

What are those relationships that are so merged that one cannot tell where one ends in the other begins or in fact if they are not just the same person with a shadow. Most interesting poem.

I always love Casablanca as well as Bogart and Bacall. I have seen that movie many times and it is one of my favorite love stories. It’s theme seems close to that of a tale of two cities where true love is in giving up have a relationship for someone else’s happiness.
