So many reasons that people are homeless and the politicians in way or another are mainly responsible, a heartfelt read.

Politicians have no compassion. It isn’t just about life choices. There are so many reasons why people become homeless. Your poem touches my heart, it really does. People deserve better.

A great spirit of Christmas poem that puts the Christ back in Christmas. Where our eyes should be at this time of the year not on the lights and presents and Christmas dollars that we can ill afford to spend. Nicely done

Short lines like hurried footsteps race this poem to its end. There is a sense of urgency here set by the clock at the begining. Very nicely done

This is a beautiful but very haunting piece, depicting i feel the despair of a person left on the wayside of life living in a place left on the way side of life. Brilliant read.

Reality is forever in our faces, yet we rarely look it straight in the face because it is so macabre and so ghastly. How very beautifully you\'ve rendered this with superb imagery and aptly haunting, biting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

COWARD ( EXECUTED WW1 )
Doggerel Dave said:
I can remember a time, many years ago when I dwelt on this topic a lot. Couldn\'t leave it alone. Sometimes that feeling returns as for example when confronted by your poem.
I thought I was reading about a horrendous history, And that humanity, politics and so on was now better than that… how misguided.

Such a moving poem. You have captured the carnage so well. Shot for cowardice, when they were suffering from the awful effects of shell shock. Judged by madmen. Thank you for remembering them.
