Very relatable and moving! How some people seem to vanish and leave the heart wanting and longing. ππ»π

Haunting in feel aswell as longing. It reads with an unfinished ending and this is as it should be. A most delicate and fragil wirte the leaves a broken feeling. Lovely

You have set the scene well and I feel that I have been there, in fact am sure I have. I feel that I am there now and from here were do I proceed? Nicely written

Brings it home for me. Many of my relatives served at the frontlines in all the conflicts that I know of, from WWI to the present. Itβs tough for their families as well, if they donβt turn their backs on them. Thanks for sharing.

This gives me the impression it is a haunting and touch poem of the ongoing struggles of a Ex Soldier, reliving all the nightmares he has seen in real life. Well written

FOODBANKS
Poetic Licence said:
I appreciate that for many thousands they have become a life line, but The answer i feel is clearly No to caring and i feel society does not either, if we looked out for each other like we used to, there would be no where the need there is for the foodbanks. Though provoking read.

No it doesn\'t is the answer. But the people should care and do something about it by helping those we know first and those we don\'t next. A sad comentary on society not just today but always.

I used to be embarrassed as well. The food banks we have were we live are government subsidised. A concession card is given out at assigned government agencies and used at quite a few establishments, a big help not only to the destitute but also to the pensioners, disabled and other categories of the demographic. It isnβt much, really; but something in the meantime. Iβm not aware how it works in other places.
