A magnificent cosmic odyssey, balancing between the grandeur of the universe and a personal dream. The imagery is boundless, infinite, yet rooted in a profound inner yearning — a wanderer destined for the journey, captivated by forces beyond understanding.

The meaninglessness of life reflected in intelligence that must be disconnected from our dreams. Whether night dreams or daydreams or even those that develop into goals they must be disconnected. A deep poem for reflection

Music as the memory of the soul — capable of surviving even death.
A very philosophical poem. I love it.

Rhapsody
Ellen Marsell said:
As Plato wrote, music leads the soul to remember the divine. In “Rhapsody” it becomes that which survives the destruction of the body, the breaking of a line, tears and death. Music is the very coin with which the hero can pay the crossing. In it is forgiveness, light and immortality in one.

A dark poem of a most gothic nature using most all symbols of death. Well written and more poetic than any horror story. Well done

Cape Reinga

No one would stop you from enjoying the scenery sitting on the hillside as there are not many tourists. However, the best time to get to Reinga is at sunset in good weather. It is quite windy on the Cape.
I really enjoyed reading this poem. Beautiful work!

Cape Reinga is a symbolic place. On the one hand, it\'s the tip of the land in front of the vast ocean. But for the Maori, it is a sacred place from which souls depart to the next world. Emotionally and spiritually, it is the boundary where maps, routes and landmarks end. It\'s a place where one is left to one\'s own devices. It is not a place where answers are sought, but a place where silence is sought ... Great poem!

It is in contradiction that wisdom is found, the birth of nature on a cross of death. A lovely poem of a quest for the unattainable and so are all true quests. Ephemeral and everchanging truth is born and dies to be resurrected from phoenix ashes. A very deep poem in the quest for true poetry.

A fave for so many great lines and metaphors in this poem. It keeps its course and takes one to the past and its most pleasant moments sweetening the bitterness of the present. It is the sugar in the black coffee. Lovely as always

The mummy story
Ellen Marsell said:
This final question is like a moral judgment on the era. The abduction of paradise, the destruction of memory, the transformation of the past into a stage set - all this has a price.

I love the pulsating musicality of your poem. Already from the first lines it creates a hypnotic mood.
