The black sun of melancholy
Ellen Marsell said:

A twilight dressed in verse.
A magnetic atmosphere where melancholy turns into matter, cosmology, and the very space of poetic experience.
Profoundly philosophical and beautifully written.

It is amazing how this poem begins with a sense of metaphorical reality that dissolves into the mists of surreal and cryptic images barely intelligible. There is a stream of logic to the illogical a drift from reality (whatever that may be) to free floating associations with no key, locked in the mind of the creator. It is very nicely crafted. A fave

A siren\'s trade in this poem. Very satisfying since I always loved sirens whether in myth or life. Nicely done Lorenz

Despair island
Ellen Marsell said:

Without light, without salvation yet with the dignity of a madman who stares into the abyss and does not look away.
A gothic poem. Epic in tone. Absolutely love it.

Here the cow jumped over the moon but never said where she landed. The dog star barked to see such a sport and Saturn looks like a dish with a meat ball, hell knows what happened to the spoon. A cosmic poem of epic proportions Lorenz.

This is such a powerful poem, and I love the Peter Pan allusion. On a side note the contrast between your profile picture and the image used on the poem made me smile--two very different time periods!

Lorenz this sounds like the beginning of a noir novel maybe Sin City. The echoes of machinery in the background of a dark foggy night. Well done

The key word for me was unsane where most would use insane I agree with you a better word is unsane. So much mention of madness and the crazy in this poem the mermaid a siren convincing one that they are the master of tides. Megalomania runs ramped in these waters. A good read my friend.

Madame la Mort
Ellen Marsell said:

A magnificent, mature poem.
Despite the cold humor, the text sounds deeply human - with a touch of melancholy, irony, and philosophy.
The ending is magnificent - the metaphor of life as a game of dice.
It seems as if everything is ruled by chance, yet in the end, she always wins.
Not out of malice, not out of desire - simply because that is the nature of existence.

Love that cannot be fulfilled becomes the driving force of creation.
Thus art is born - from the impossibility of being together, from longing transformed into music.
