A Gentleman is Just a Patient Wolf
sorenbarrett said:

Another wonderful poem Gray and so true it is indeed. Patience is a virtue they say and so society regards it when hunting prey whether animal or human. They say men are dogs the savage ancestor the wolf. Man\'s best friend domesticated for thousands of years has developed patience. A wolf too is patient when hunting and perseverant chasing down its prey. Ever hungry the wolf is stealthy as most women know. A fave

Fountains and Drains
sorenbarrett said:

Brilliant!! magnificent Gray I felt this one in context with the state of the world today and how we are split in beliefs and views shuffled together. How we all cast light and darkness without knowing how we affect others. There are so many that need pulling and giving never seems to end. Hope wears thin with years of wear. Drained we remain unsure of which way to go. As we return home to where we all came from never getting the answers we seek we have choices to make with no way of going back or changing what we do. Very deep my friend and a definite fave

Well written. Your poem delves into the nature of human relationships, the balance of emotional investments, and the choices we make in our interactions with others. It portrays how some people radiate positivity and warmth, while others may draw energy and joy away from us.

Well written. Your poem revolves around the notion of collecting and appreciating the overlooked fragments of life. The poet reflects on their childhood fascination with the garbage truck and its operator, who engages with discarded items, representing the hidden stories and lives of people.

Love it Gray such a lovely personification in this poem. Each step dragging behind. Now if one were to change directions the shadow would lead.

The Lazy Man\'s Gospel

In a world still privative man expected to earn his keep by the sweat of his brow but those that are a bit smarter are called lazy. They use their head to do the work. This poem speaks of them. Nicely done Gray

Fruits Are Not Colors
sorenbarrett said:

Clearly well thought out Gray although I noticed oranges were left out here, what else would we call them. Many colors are designated as fruits due to the clear association with that vivid shade shared by no other in nature. I wonder about flowers also rose, lilac, orchid. We reach into our experience and use nature as our pallet to paint the world. A lovely poem and a fave

Simply Necessary
Friendship said:

Your poem revolves around the relationship between art and the viewer. It emphasizes that art\'s value lies not in its ability to provide clear explanations or answers but in the emotions and sensations it evokes in the observer. Your poem encourages a more intuitive engagement with art rather than a cerebral or analytical approach.

So true Gray written words hold more truth words twisted in speech latter to be denied and excused as misunderstood taken out of context. On the page there is no going back only owning up to what one put down. A great write my friend
