Fruits Are Not Colors
sorenbarrett said:

Clearly well thought out Gray although I noticed oranges were left out here, what else would we call them. Many colors are designated as fruits due to the clear association with that vivid shade shared by no other in nature. I wonder about flowers also rose, lilac, orchid. We reach into our experience and use nature as our pallet to paint the world. A lovely poem and a fave

Totally different sensory experience - totally different reality.
You make it quite clear that I\'m a prisoner of my own perceptions. Thanks for the reminder.

The Art of Losing

‘But losing, I\'ve learned, is an opening’—a line that brings solace to the heaviest of losers, turning loss into a doorway of possibility.

Simply Necessary

Your poem revolves around the relationship between art and the viewer. It emphasizes that art\'s value lies not in its ability to provide clear explanations or answers but in the emotions and sensations it evokes in the observer. Your poem encourages a more intuitive engagement with art rather than a cerebral or analytical approach.

This hits like the sting of honesty you can’t ignore.
The work of writing becomes both wound and salve, and you feel every drip.

So true Gray written words hold more truth words twisted in speech latter to be denied and excused as misunderstood taken out of context. On the page there is no going back only owning up to what one put down. A great write my friend

Abandoned at the Door
Doggerel Dave said:

A tribute to all the shelters and orphanages (probably an outdated term) which help transform irresponsibility into the positive. Enjoyed for this message.

Abandoned at the Door

Gray this one is such a good metaphor for all orphaned and rejected the neglected and forgotten. \"Give me your tired your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breath free\" by Emma Lazarus. It seems that that door was locked and bolted long ago. Poignant this metaphor applies to all that have a heart and soul and not just to dogs. Wonderful poem Gray

A powerful poem, well written. Your poem explores the significance of small, quiet moments in life that often go unnoticed but hold deep meaning and value. It suggests that while life moves forward rapidly, these seemingly insignificant experiences shape our stories and memories.

This is a fave Gray. Some really great lines here \"a bottle my compass, no maps.\" a poignant message sent in a tense moment of the poem. Sad none the less in the injury of an animal and the question remains will it be enough to effect change. Lovely
