The Quiet Bridge
sorenbarrett said:
Most beautiful poetic lines
\"Between the teeth of hope and the tongue
Of doubt.\"
\"We walk on stones that bruise the tender
Soles of our faith\"
Not being a religious man but would rather consider myself spiritual still loved the tone of this poem \"Yet, in the small, quiet spaces, He waits—
Not in the grand, not in the sky-split flame,
But in the touch of hands, the soft surrender
Of anger. In the bending of the will,\"
A wonderful write

The Joy of Simply Being
Mutley Ravishes said:
Preach! Great write. I sometimes wonder if it’s all the responsibility of being an adult that contributes to losing the magic of childhood.
I recall a young lady saying that magic upped and left her when she went through puberty. I had the same experience.
And then there are the egos of identification. Of beliefs.
Oh well, I guess it’s up to us to rediscover it. Lot’s of work to do.

A fun write and a metaphor at the same time. We all seek warmth whether climatic, emotional, or psychological. I loved the last line \"gone into the light\"

Is There Anything More Beautiful Than the Bow of a Ship touching a New World
Doggerel Dave said:
Rich imagery, but horrendous when the results of that touching are considered - havoc and devastation on the populations already resident in that new world.
