Snowdrops

a wonderful read, I don\'t know why but my favourite part is:
\'(to love them, you don’t need to know this)\'
a writer\'s interactive voice of truth and indeed, a statement true: of poetry and of most thing\'s we cherish in our lives

Snowdrops

Nothing too feeble about that, Blue. I don\'t normally \'get\' nature poetry, but this one reeled me in, first due to the disciplined structure and rhyme (my obsession) and then I found the content surprisingly accessible to me, though I haven\'t seen too many snowdrops in Sydney....

Kevin, I love your poem. It brings back memories of looking for the first \"Schnee-Gloeckchen\" (\'Snow-Bells\', German for this flower) when growing up in Switzerland. Alas, we don\'t have them in Hawaii and no snow either!

Ooh I dunno Kevin. Hardly feeble! if ya had not told me of them galanthus, I\'d never have known. heehee.
I could set this to a hymn tune is you wish, with minor adjustments?
And an omen? An elderly lady passed away age 95 last year (not covid). Snowdrops were one of her favourite flowers.

\'but pen pours on paper pain’s past pent-up passion
and fighting my foes hasn’t gone out of fashion!\',
wonderful alliteration, a good read: \'giv em hell!\'

The Poet\'s Ploy
Doggerel Dave said:
A \'little\' sonnet with an incisive analysis of an aspiring poet\'s ways and means.
Not \'little\' at all, the subject as realised by you.

Pilgrim\'s Prayer
L. B. Mek said:
\'And I, a mortal, dare to dream,
although I’m quintessential clay;
beneath the sky, in vain, I scheme
to conjure one who went away.\'
what an eloquent verse of poetry you\'ve penned here, encapsulating your poems entire message with such crisp brevity,
Brilliant!
Happy New Year dear Poet

I really like your verse, a rousing poulter\'s measure (iambic heptameter couplets) that deftly avoids sounding like Edgar A. Guest.
To my eye, this verse would be better set up with left justification rather than with the middle axis MyPoeticSide defaults to if not strongly dissuaded from it.
The only reason I\'d want to learn Russian would be to be able to read Pushkin. My foreign language is German.
