It`s a lovely message that actually you do not need all the modern trappings to be happy, if you are with some one you love, that can be plenty, Enjoyed the read

I know exactly what you mean.
With me when in the middle of a Poem, I can’t sleep until I’ve got the line straight.

Fine words Tom, I am like that myself sometimes and it is surprising how many poems come to me when I struggle to sleep.

Love that song it resonates with so many. Sleepless nights are few for me but I appeciate how difficult they are. Time ticks away as approaches day and the more one dwells the hotter hell\'s fire swells. Your poem resonates with many

I bought a ‘Sweater’ the other day, but found out it was full of ‘Static-Electricity’. Took it back to the Shop and got one ‘Free of Charge’. What’s wrong with ‘Dad Jokes’?

It\'s funny, now you raise the issue which is such a classic its virtually irresistible, I have avoided joining the annual ritual excepting once or twice, possibly because, come to think of it... I\'m daily, hourly and weekly making resolutions. Failing too, at fulfillment. But enough of that. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delightfully haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Love it sceptics for the dad jokes which I don’t do often to start with and the fact that it’s one of the few things that make me, dad! Wasn’t that a Dione Warwick song about making it easy on the self?

Perhaps completely off the mark, the poem reminded me of Penny Lane by the Beatles. The mastery of brush strokes on the canvas to draw the picture of nostalgia is truly admirable. Beautiful poem

I seem to have mentioned this before, Tom, but the impression it left in me is too strong to let go... Don\'t Forget Your Town Hall!!

But I don\'t live there in a slightly less salubrious part of town 365 days a year...
