Spoil sport! I know what your mean, Tom. But you have so many other pleasures to indulge in as you reside in the Old Country.....
You could, for example really get behind the Oxford and Cambridge boat race...doesn\'t take too long. You could chuck much enthusiasm there and then return to your book.
PS: What\'s the title?

You have lots of interests and I share some of them. Love trad jazz, the Beatles, Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan and Cohen. I also like a cup of Earl Grey on occasions. Must be in a china cup though, not a mug:) Enjoyed the read.

So what it means from your \'confession\' is that you have a wide diversity of interests...but haven\'t you forgotten the name of your favourite social commentator/comedian?

A rich write, Tom.

I often wonder how many millions of poems are out there, and how many are really read?
Speaking them in public, at least someone might hear.
Well done.

One thing is - hope all the other poets have interesting poems too. If not, you could doze off a while they waffle on interminably, until it\'s your turn! lol.
I had experience of that - arggh! \'Here\'s Mr/Mrs X with another (brain-numbing) poem to fill a bit of spare time.\' lol.

Great write Tom Dylan. Your lines flow so well. Open mic can be scary. Have done it myself, but not for a while. Takes guts to get up there. Well done.

It seems it happens to most of us as we age. We reflect on the years gone by and remember those times as being best. I certainly believe the music of the 60’s and 70’s to be incomparable lol. I enjoyed your reflective piece Tom.

Such wonderful and true words Tom.
I think that good \'pop\' music stopped in the 1970\'s, my teenage years were the 1960\'s, a great time that changed the world.

Glad Tom, that you ‘refer to octogenarians as being a good age’ and will ignore the hill in the interests of a harmonious relationship.
My only point is that, despite all the fun I had in reading your poem (plenty), I must insist that times in the sixties and seventies were easier and more just for many of that generation, although not for all.
