You\'re downright hilarious! What a regular riot. I declare. This is too beautifully rendered with a weighty poignancy set against a healthy sense of good humor. When I began to apply the metaphor in my own case I forgot to recall how much my late father cherished old Mercedes. Thank you very much for sharing. Me loves.

I hear you Tom been there for a few years and it only seems to get worse each coming year. I’m wondering when the ignition system won’t work anymore or when the battery will be dead and I’ll need a jump. The plugs are not all firing evenly and there’s a lot of stains on the interior upholstery as well as a few tears.

Hi Tom, you are still a young un. By the time you reach my age you will need regular services and a yearly MOT. Yes, creaking, niggling, it gets worse lol. My solution is to drink more. Red vino in moderation is a fine medicine lol. A fun poem. Most entertaining.

Keep well hopefully. Depends if we\'re half-empty glass person I suppose. If so, we could become hypochondriacs!

Fun not had by you along the way;
Up theirs is all I’d have to say.
Couldn’t you find any excuse?
Kindred spirits not mannered abuse:
Empty invite into the bin.
Make a point of committing some sin…..

My feeble acrostical attempt, Tom.

This is a splendid account of the uncomfortableness that many are obliged to suffer from time to time but is so very unnecessary .. enjoyed grossly Tom ..

As team games go, ice hockey certainly seems one of the wildest (from what I\'ve seen on TV).

Your poetry has all the texture of a regular life well lived, Tom - enjoyed by me very much.
