Write from the heart Demar despite what style it is

This seems a set of reflections that may seem returning waves but I would hate to see you go Demar keep up the fight and write

I love your style, bro. I love your inquisitive nature and the community you build. Keep it up, my friend. My first poem was not a haiku, but I have grown to love the form because it is an exercise in word economy. Not an easy task to distill a deep, profound idea down to 17 syllables. Your style is your style...it\'s your voice...and no one can take that from you, unless you let them. So, write on, bro! Write on!

Demar, I hear you…that tension between wanting to pull back and still believing in something real underneath it all. Especially when you say “there is no me without you”…that tells me you haven’t lost it, even if it feels like you have.

I also saw this wasn’t your last piece…whew 😅

There’s more in you, and it shows. Not everything needs to land for everyone…that’s never been the point. Your presence here matters, my friend.

And yeah…kind of love the paradox here—the king of concise letting it all run a bit longer this time. It fits.

Strong piece, bro. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Do you enjoy sex?
Kora said:

For me, sex is intimacy, and intimacy is love. Love comes in many forms, but I find that physically, I always gravitate back to the sensual. As with all things, there are two sides of the coin, and the duality of it all is what makes it so beautiful.

Housed vs. Unhoused

There is yet another subdivision being built by my house. It used to be this beautiful orchard and they tore it up to put houses in, I’m really disappointed about it. We keep adding more and more homes and ruining the land. We’re not going to have much of it soon.

This was so intriguing Demar. I love how you captured emotion and the sort of cause and effect rhythm you had going on. That second to last line really stuck with me, it gives extra layers to the poem of how you can seek wisdom but natural things can stand in the way.

Demar, my friend, I resonate with that tension…knowing what you value, and still not always living it cleanly. That gap between intention and action…yeah, that’s human. This speaks. Strong piece, my friend. Definitely a fave. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Amazing write... truly thought-provoking. I especially empathized with the part about not learning from our histories... It\'s something I\'ve been thinking about quite a lot recently myself

Your poem is a wild ride, calling out the absurdities of life and society while embracing raw human emotions. It\'s like you\'re screaming truths . The contrast between seeking wisdom and getting blocked by life\'s distractions is real 😊. Very well written!!!

Reading and writing develop our brain,
Sibling rivalry is always there occurring,
Even today, I don\'t remember those days,
My brother physically punched me often,
I love your poem and the end mainly,
No more complaining- What a truth ?

Do you hate me because I’m…?
Allie561 said:

Well Demar, that’s a hard question to answer. I think how we are treated shouldn’t reflect our worth because an opinion is just an opinion. People can be evil these days either ignoring you or treating you with absolutely no kindness. The other day I reached out to one of my old colleagues and they responded to only one of my texts and I never received any more replies. It stung a bit at first but hey I can only control how I feel about it. I assure you that you are somebody, in the real world and on this site. I hope people come to treat you better.

A disparaging look at oneself but then the author\'s note may be more true people that hate others often hate things about themselves. Well written Demar

Tristan Robert Lange said:

Demar, yeah…maybe they do. That kind of judgment usually says more about them than it ever does about you. The way you strip this down to “I am nobody”…that lands. Stay rooted in who you are, my friend…that matters more than anything they project. As you can see, I relate to this one a lot. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Sometimes it’s not meant to be revealed. I often wonder if we’re supposed to figure out the answer for ourselves, maybe it’s meant to have a different meaning for everyone. Also, are you possibly writing about an earthquake or was it just describing a storm?

Demar, I’ve felt that kind of question before… standing in something bigger than yourself and not having an answer for it. The way you leave it open, unresolved… that’s what makes it real. Strong piece. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
