I know exactly how you feel. I had a time in my life where I was isolated. . . not by choice but by my parents. They pulled me out of public school so I lost all my friends and the connections to them . .. the only people I had where my sibs but they are younger then me and. . . well. . . their family. It\'s not the same with someone who\'s not related to u and your age /gender. For those couple years I had no friends, no events. . . this poem speaks to what I felt during that time. Thank you for the emotional you put in the poem.

Ah the conflict between emotions and mind between the female and male. A deeper meaning couched in a relationship. You are right not to criticize for neither is better or worse only different and a blend is the best of all worlds. A nicely presented dilema for which there is no answer.

Insecurity oozes out of this poem. Fear, doubt, discomfort all reflect in the mirror and who wants to look at that. Better to close the eyes or look elsewhere. This poem is raw and nicely done expressing well that feeling. Well done
