The world was flat back then and everybody was uneducated and gullible. Gradually the churches got themselves powerful and people were afraid of religious people so decided to believe rather than be tortured for not believing. (a bit like certain religions do in certain places still).
But it\'s undeniable that there is a spritual \'something\'. God is a good enough word for it. Life after death, yes i believe so but deffo not the heaven and hell rubbish christianity came up with. They keep changing bits of their story anyway.
