Thanks LYSI for sharing a very elegant poem in (structure & substance) on a paradoxical subject. Persecution and oppression bring relief through the freedom that follows. Just as the glory (and the medals) the Olympic Athlete receives negate the pain and sacrifice of training. Per ardua ad astra. Love the painting and the poem. Yours BRIAN

? Not sure, I kinda preferred willy's, I liked the bit in bold but I think you should've put 'my version', 'remix' or something along those lines at the end of the title so people can distinguish the two beforehand and wouldn't puppet's be puppet is, shouldn't it be puppets' ?

LOVE THIS POEM LYSI ~ Thanks for sharing. There are many natural rhythms in which we should be in harmony. Today in the UK (it's Wimbledon week !) we have felt the rhythm of the wind and rain and the best grass court Tennis Players resonate to the rhythm of the turf ! The Flora & Fauna recognise and respect the natural rhythms but Humans have disrespected GAIA and continue to cover the Earth with concrete ~ think we can colonise the Moon and replace the Sun with fossil fuels ~ wind turbines and nuclear and in time destroy Planet Earth. I love to reaonate with nature and poets ! Yours as ever BRIAN

This poem allows others to see some of themselves in it, and their struggles. Very well written!

THANKS LYSI ~ Love the visual. I have met many couples like that whose abilities compensate each others disabilities. If we learned to share more then fewer of us (especially innocent 33 year olds !) would perish in natures cracks. Yours appreciatively BRIAN

Thanks LYSIS ~ I love juvenile poems they are open to infinite interpretation. Any new juxtaposition grabs my interest and the conjugations of a Cat Kisser and a Pig Preacher are endless. Can't wait for the "next time". Love your frivolity ~ Yours BRIAN

WOW LYSI - I love all the genres appearing on MPS ~ Contempory - Fantasy - Mythology - SF etc ! I like to comment to show my appreciation of the effort all of our MPS Poets make to compose and then to publish. I love the imagery and innuendo in this poem and the inference (which all Men should heed) of "Non Evasion sans Emotion" et "Non Evasion sans Remboursement" Thanks for sharing and caring - Yours BRIAN

Thank you LYSIS - Fantasy poems are easier to write than analyse. Love the visual it adds mystery to the fantasy. As always your poem is beautifully crafted but the content is enigmatic. I have many Friends and Relations who have gone to Glory some much too early. I expect to see them again - somewhere - sometime !. One wing (wounded ?) greedy imagination but rejecting - hungry heart demanding unification and resurrection. There is promise of a New Kingdom and a New God ! Please continue - I am hungry for more - BRIAN
