Sight
Fay Slimm. said:

Hi John - Such a thoroughly engaging read on sight both outer and inner with the latter being the place \"where the soul resides\" I truly agree with your perceptive last statement that ultimate survival of the human race can only happen by \"divining the inside\" - - thanks for sharing Sight.

Deep! dear poet
beware indeed,
they\'re in our bedroom\'s and mind\'s, but somehow
I still like to hope
it\'s never too late
and we\'ll find a way
to prevent this infiltration: Invasion
from defining,
our Individuality\'s
seemingly inevitable, decimation...

Monkeys
L. B. Mek said:

\'Way
of the
Dodo?\'..
extinction, at the gate
vanity mirror\'s: in our heads...
(but seriously
how can you look at those big, cute trusting eyes
and not want to write
something sickly sweet and warm
even just,
as a mirage of worded hope...) lol
thanks for sharing, dear poet

I don\'t know, dear poet
if you compare the past and the present
a lot has changed, but
depending on your perspective
it may be for the slightly better or much - much, worse..?

That\'s the highway of life John, which you envisioned here so perfectly. I turn 65 in December and in the process of signing up for Medicare. The transition between working full time and retiring will be a welcome relief. Fortunately I have many hobbies to keep me active. Great write John. 😊

Empyrean
L. B. Mek said:

\'Universal
knowledge.
Learning.
Bungee
bounce back.
Back to
the source.
Never ending
journey.
Next stop,
next challenge
one after
the next.\'
that\'s why, we need only
\'forgive\' ourselves a break,
progress, as to the rate of our \'gifted\' fate
accept, the distance
to our insurmountable mountain peaks;
then simply succumb to that veiled meaning, in our: \'Journey\'s\' worth..
I ask, genuinely
how conceited must we be
to reach for perfection\'s mirages,
when we\'re - yet, to embark on the path for understanding
which Questions: are Relevant?
\'Let us, instead
accept our limitations
and succeed in identifying, exploiting and exhausting
all our gifted opportunities, maybe then
our future generations, can begin to contemplate
why the word Empyrean exists, for a humanity
that has yet to unfurl the repressed wings, tucked blind
deep, in its own genetics and mind...\' lol
(I can never help my lol cynicism in humanity\'s unlimited capacity for self aggrandisement,
we dream-up our endless heavens and deities
just to curate our escapism\'s future where we \'deservedly\' seat among them, while
simultaneously we wage a war with ourselves, daily
to convince ourselves
the dishes, \'should really be done, tonight\'
and not left for tomorrow morning
that will inevitably turn to
tomorrow evening and etc.
our dance of ludicrous hypocrisy continues, to entangle us
forever - stagnant
in our cyclical \'progression\', of elite level wilful ignorance
hiding, fervently
from that question, we never contemplate proactively
what-if,
this life we experience - as limited and foiled by suffering, as it is
is all that we\'re supposed, to \'perfect, elevate: evolve within\'...
and nothing else!
(ah, what can I say
once more your brilliant insights have my qwerty keys dancing away, mindlessly lol
thank you for sharing and inspiring my little scribbled reply, dear poet)

Lotus
L. B. Mek said:

\'Lotus.
Unfolding
flower.
Unfolding
realms.
Each different,
unfolding
differently.
Different
hues.
Hues of
existence.
Infinite
unfolding’s.
Floating
on the
endless.\'..
these words, unearth
that Lotus flower, connectivity
in the recycling
of Nature and Humanity,
that inevitable rebirth of universal matter
\'dust to ashes
ashes to dust;
petals to earth
leaves to wind,
birds to water
fishes to clouds:
that cyclicality in our commonality\'..
A great write!
thanks for sharing, dear poet
