What It\'s Like To Be Me
Goldfinch60 said:

Most people do not see the real person inside as we can put on different masks in different situations. Being able to release our true feelings in words is a great help to get us ahead in our lives.

What It\'s Like To Be Me
dusk arising said:

Most of us are a front to those around us, even to those close to us but i guess most of us are lucky to shrug that off as \'normal\' whatever that is. But you reveal here a pain unseen and unseeable. Yet so tangible for you that you feel it\'s killing you.
Now i don\'t know if this is your reality or a well composed piece of work.
But i do know that writing poetry let me release much darkness and despair as i shared it here on mps where many have done just that, many are doing that now and we are the most supportive group of anonymous friends you\'ll find.
Keep writing.

ANGELA HERE - Good Morning FELICITY - As a WOMAN I love the TRUISM expressed in your Frank Testimony!

You arn*t born strong
You*re forced to be it !

This is something all WOMEN have to learn in the face of WEAK & PREDATORY MEN ! As Females We are born with Confidence & Dignity - BUT - A weak & shameless Man can remove that with one Blow of his Sword. Alas Young & Old Men are taught in a Godless Society that this is how they *Prove their MANHOOD* by thoughtlessly destroying the most precious thing a GIRL possesses - HER VIGINITY ! I my case many a promising relationship ended because I wouldn*t give the BOY / MAN what they expected. Im half Spanish & A Physiotherapist and I was accused of being FRIGID (which Im not!) just because I defended my HONOUR! I was raised a Good Catholic Girl - by God fearing Parents (My PAPA is Spanish) so I drew the line at full Intercourse. As you know not all Men are PREDATORY and when I met Brian four years ago I was still a VIRGIN. Brian was a Gentleman (Caballero) and loved me more for my Whole Being & Personality (my SOUL) rather than just my PHYSICAL BODY - there are Men like that. I was still technically a *VIRGIN* when we got married Six Months agoi (Brian will be 37 in a few days time) and we are hoping to start a Family soon ! Thinking of You & Praying for You. BRIAN & I are Youth Workers (In the Church) and the RESOLVE in Your Story *TO BE STRONG* will be a great help to our TEENS who face similar situations in todays very very permissive Society ~ AMEN

Bessings & Peace & Joy for You always
Love Angela & Brian πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

That strength that you have resounds through your words and in life you will only get stronger and maybe be able to dismiss the \'limp body\' of your past and move into the wonderful life that awaits you.

The seldom heard voice of the strong steadfast mind resounds here. Yes, just as you recount, we are not born with such strength and when i see those who suffer life without if i wonder where it has come from. I know that it is nurtured into maturity by the hard blows life dishes out and once one is aware of ones tenacity it bolsters itself anew.
Thank goodness for the soft heart and depth of feeling at the core though. Essential facets of our humanity.
I really embraced your post today.

You, dear one, keep fighting this. You\'re not as alone as you might think. This disease is an epidemic. I don\'t aim to preach or advise or say you\'re fine. Just keep your head above those clouds. You are loved. You are wanted here.

Disability
Goldfinch60 said:

Your bravery echos in every word. Many people in the world are so ignorant about those with disabilities which is awful.
You may not be able to do some things but remember everybody is ignorant about different subjects.
You are blessed with your art and words so ignore those who do not care and do what you do in the delightful way you have written these words.

Andy.

It\'s All In Your Head

it\'s tricky in a way, as there is not just one sort of depression. It may spring from mental, physical, chemical-imbalance causes, etc. I\'m no doctor. We know we can\'t say \'Snap out of it\' as people can\'t immediately snap out of it, as if by magic.

Holding Me Hostage
dusk arising said:

You sound like the person i recently fell out of love with. Her condition became all that she was. Familiarity smothered the wonderful joyous person whom i saw thru her veil of illness. Maybe it was me, unable for her to sustain her joyous self around me. Maybe its the people around you enable you to maintain your depression. Maybe change could be a refreshing and positive force.
Maybe.
