But the last stanza tells all, you not only survived, you maybe became a better person for it. It is the challenges and hardships in our lives that make us who we are, and there are always two choices. You become negative, or you soar above the problems. Judging from how high you soared, maybe the clipping helped to grow your wings!

I love this so much, and reflects my journey from the last two years. Not only do I have what you have but I understand for my self that I could one day be alone again and my lady has shown me I could cope with that, like I have all the rest of the times.
To be set free with this love but with no over attachment, from my self, due to my childhood pain, is helping in all aspects of my life. I still have a away to go but a breath of air you give with your words to help me on this road.
