It is the challenges and hardships in our lives that make us who we are, and there are always two choices. You become negative, or you soar above the problems. Judging from how high you soared, maybe the clipping helped to grow your wings!

Awesome write and seems you are talking about your mother. It is nice that you understood that she wanted to protect you and sometimes we do want to clip a wing just to keep the person close by. It is difficult to love without attachment.

I love this so much, and reflects my journey from the last two years. Not only do I have what you have but I understand for my self that I could one day be alone again and my lady has shown me I could cope with that, like I have all the rest of the times.
To be set free with this love but with no over attachment, from my self, due to my childhood pain, is helping in all aspects of my life. I still have a away to go but a breath of air you give with your words to help me on this road.
