Also I insist (in the classroom !) on 3 lines & 575 syllables. No. 4 is (6 7 5) and No. 5 (5 8 5) what in liverpool we called ZUMOSENRYU. If you were in my Class ~ I would mark you 8 / 10 ~ OK. My fave is No. 1 which is the only HAIKU ~ the rest (in my book) are SENRYU ! I have posted a Philosophical Senryu (A Confusryu) today please check ! 1 - haiku
2 - neither
3 - senryu
4 - senryu
5 - is a 5,8,5
to get over this problem where a 5,7,5 is neither I have used the term goldiku.
