WHO\'S SPEAKING?
Fay Slimm. said:

Oooh - Mike I have done that before now and received a similar chastisement - Gasped at the beautiful painting - Smiled at the verse and laughed aloud at that latest comment - - \"Dyer \'ere\' eh - what a challenge hearing that to keep a straight face -

WHO\'S SPEAKING?

Michael,

In Italy, when we answer the phone we say, ā€œPronto!ā€(literal translationā€”ā€œReadyā€!) When I came to America, I once accidentally answered the phone with ā€œPronto!ā€ The caller said, ā€œFor what?!ā€ šŸ˜‚

Your painting is extraordinary!
Thank you for sharing!

Hope youā€™re doing well.

I once worked in an office opposite a guy called Ron Dyer ... When his \'phone rang he\'d pick it up and say \"Dyer \'ere!\" How we laughed!

Oh lol M. There\'s a Laurel(L) & Hardy(H) clip:
H: \'Who was that on the phone?\'
L: Oh some guy saying \'It\'s a long distance (call) from Australia\'. So I replied \'It sure is!\'
H: \'Doh! I wish they would put an end to people mucking about on phones!\'

ANGELA & BRIAN said:

HI UNCLE MICHAEL : A Grandson Hugo indeed : BRIAN & I are jealous : The earliest we can have a CHILD is 2021 because we don\'t believe in CONCEPTION before MARRIAGE OK ! Nurture HUGO all you can : Thats what G-DADS are for ! My Grandparents live in SEVILLA but I will see them next YEAR ! Loved your Abstract (it is upside down !) Did you like the Modern Nativity Painting I posted I love the TWO WISE MEN ! I printed your Painting and ORIENTATED it through 180 degrees ! It was bigger than in the Poem and it clearly was RAINBOW MAN on his Scooter. He comes from Planet Technicolour which is in the Visible Spectrum and 200 light years from PLANET EARTH. Thanks for FANTASYING : Love to You & Hugo :

BOBBLES ON SWEATERS
Neville said:

what an amusing conundrum you have posed for us here in your bobbly wotsit... I personally prefer the noun \'jersey\' which by by definition in English, reads thus...
1. a knitted garment with long sleeves, worn over the upper body.
2. an animal of a breed of light brown dairy cattle from Jersey.
3) Note & disclaimer.. no breed of light brown dairy cattle from said isle was harmed in the making of this comment....
4) A delightful little whimsy sir... and thank you , Neville

Michael,

Wow...
that is an awesome poem!
Congratulations to the amazing and talented Hugo!
I see the apple hasnā€™t fallen far from the tree! Does he paint, too? The whole family (especially grandpa, Michael) must be so, so proud of your amazing grandson!

I enjoyed the poem very much! I thought it was your write...until I read your comment!

Such an honor for Hugo to have his poem published in an anthology of childrenā€™s poetry!

~Laura~

P.S. - Love the painting, grandpa!

BOBBLES ON SWEATERS
orchidee said:

I may suffer from slight uticaria then, if it\'s really cold.
You can sweat then, wearing a sweater.
Saw someone with bobble hat on. I thought the bobble was a long-haired cat! And why are some people\'s wigs like dead hedgehogs? lol.

BOBBLES ON SWEATERS
Goldfinch60 said:

Sweater, jumper, pullover whatever they are called I never wear, I just don\'t feel the cold and am still in my short sleeved shirts and will be even if winter comes. I therefore do not have the \'bobbly\' problem.

I do have the problem that when a short sleeved shirt is washed the sleeves always end up inside out!

BOBBLES ON SWEATERS
ANGELA & BRIAN said:

GOOD MORNING UNCLE MICHAEL ~ Its a bit early to be engaging ones BRAIN. I much prefer JUMPER or PULLOVER than SWEATER. A JUMP (on a Horse of course) is much preferable to a SWEAT and PULLOVER one PULLS OVER ~ Exactly what it says on the packet ! Most JUMPERS ~ if you remember to cut the label out (unless it says HARRODS !) ~ can be worn INSIDE OUT making the inside MISTER BOBBLY and the outside MISTER SMOOTH again ! There is no charge for this advice ! Love the VILLAGE SCENE ! Please check on my ROSES ~ thanks. Yours as ever BRIAN

NATURE\'S LEGACY
Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet said:

Michael, the words you\'ve scribed, within the lines of your poem, (along with your artwork) leave your readers speechless.

Nature, at its finest, expressed so eloquently with your poetic words.

And, I might add, an excellent read! :-)

KAZIMIR MALEVICH WHITE ON WHITE
Neville said:

in any of its many forms, art.. at least in my opinion, is in general, much like beauty... in the eye of the individual beholder... there is no universal or collective perception or view... That said, I did most certainly enjoy your poem here and which undoubtedly raises an intriguing set of questions.. Cheers, Neville

Great Poem for a Monday Morning MIKE
It is interesting that Successful Men
always consider themselves to be SELFMADE
Unsuccessful ones blame it on SOCIETY !

Love the cottage with Fishing Pond ! I would
like to buy one of those in ESSEX for ANGELA
when she comes home in Autumn 2019 ~ BUT
such a property in rural Essex costs Ā£500,000 !

Best wishes ~ BRIAN
