Thanks UNCLE STEVE : I am a NAIVE ARTIST so my prognosis (as a Physiotherapist) would be (as with Poetry & Music) in the 21st C : All Art Forms deserve EQUAL recognition. Otherwise how would there be any progress in the ARTS. MAORI ART is classed as PRIMITIVE but it has its own intrinsic beauty that (to my mind) would class it alongside one of the ESSEX / SUFFOLK Artists : John Constable : OK? Brian & I both love HOCKNEY and have visited his EXHIBITION in a Mill in Yorkshire !
Love your POEM and in principal I agree : There should be no RIGID RULES in Art, Poetry, Music, Dance etc just let it flow : dont Appraise & ENJOY. Brian should be back peomising next week ! Love ANGELA XXXX lease check my poem JESUS & BRIAN COMFORT ME : Thanks A.

Hmm, I see. it\'s not the same as actually painting or sculpting, etc with your own hands, is it?
It\'s a bit like basing one\'s poems on other poems in a way, maybe.
Although each work is original, painted by hand, digital, or whatever.
I once was about to put some rubbish in a bin at a show, then realised it was one of the displays. doh! Ohh, and \'The unmade bed\' was in it too.
Here endeth my ramblings on art.

I can see art in most things - a pile of rubbish can be quite fascinating if one looks at it closely. How the shapes and form and colours interact with each other and so why should it not apply when assembled by man. For this reason I found the bricks quite fascinating when I saw them as I did when viewing Emins bed last year. Did they deserve all the hype? Probably not and could have been done by schoolchildren but that wouldn\'t have made any difference except for the attendant publicity.
Yes where\'s that bottle of wine?

It i a question often asked about art. Was the \"Equivalent VIII\" by Carl Andre bought by the Tate in 1970 art, or was it just a lot of bricks.
As you know I have a fairly open mind about art and certainly about music. Art and music only have two types, that which you like and that which you do not.
Good write Michael and an interesting question.
Surely there should be a table next to the seat with a bottle of wine and two glasses on it.

Your great sculpture reminds me of the little Italian countryside church/school that I went to when I was a child. Love it. Many fond memories.

Thanks MIKE ~ Love the STRUCTURE ~ Three neat quatrains with a discernible Rhyme (and half-rhyme) pattern abxc acxb acxb In line 3 I would replace \"societies\" with \"society\" for rhyme & flow ! The subject is quasi-political but (prenez gare) it hovered on the MODERN. I interpreted it as the essence and effluent of the UK & USA main Political Parties !
Marinate in Vanity (Conservatives) Bland Piety (Socialists) Naivety & no Sanctity (Trump Republicans) Equality, Populism, Dispersal of Power, savoured with Sanity (Democrats). Love the House-Boat could you build one for Angela & I to live in Auckland Harbour ! Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN & ANGELA 😉 😉
