A DREAM
Lorna said:

Isn\'t it funny how in our dreams we never question what is going on but just roll along with it (unless it\'s a nightmare of course). Another magical abstract Michael!

Daytimes beta brain wave patters cannot assimilate the information which passes through our brain in the theta and alpha brain patterns of our dreams. Hence, on waking, our wonderful dream, once so vivid, falls from consciousness.
Not a very poetic way of describing a dream is it? Whereas yours is simply a \'dream\' by comparison.

Well, a church is having a new midweek meeting: \'Dreams interpretations evenings\'. It helps if we can remember the dream! Or else it\'s like trying to watch telly without plugging it in!

Maybe Trump is the first prominent U.S. leader to actually acknowledge that America has \'lost\' something and he wants to re-dress that.
Certainly we are led to believe that in a lot of countries the U.S. is regarded with scorn. If he is able to change this then that alone will be a move for the betterment of America. Certainly a move in the right direction anyway.
But hey, i\'m only a Brit.

It needs saying. Nothing bears looking at too closely......... Full of opportunities so that is/was good for the huddled masses. Then they \"made it\" and lost humility. Full of \"might is right\" which is/was bad. Ask the poor Indian tribes. Also this country has had very little in the way of humbling moments on its home ground (unlike Europe). The reaction to 9/11 was to me over the top and exploited as if no one else in the world had ever experienced anything like it.... wonder how we would have responded to day and night bombing for months on end......... Trump is a symptom...... let\'s see if we can right ourselves by getting rid of him.

Michael,
The irises are very beautiful! They remind me of my very young years when I lived with my grandmother for a while! Her garden was full of them! She would let me pick some of them for the vase I kept on her dining room table!

Great couplets...
I guess in our own private kingdom, we can afford to live with our head in the clouds!

WINTER
MendedFences27 said:

I like this one. Michael. The passing of Winter into the nether regions. Only to be lurking among the dark, dank and drear, waiting to blast us once again with frost and snow.
In your picture I see the skeletal bones, floating among vapors purple (dark), green (dank), and white (drear). There are eye sockets and an almost completely missing face. Perhaps Winter is a faceless season? Unrecognizable at times. Liked it a lot. - Phil A.

Love the poem & the painting ! We have had a talk on OWLS this afternoon at the Bird Sanctuary and your \"abstract\" (L to R as orientated) clearly shows a nest of fledglings (with open beaks) ready to receive a meal from MUM !
