A fine couple and pic Michael. It\'s like one of those \'hidden pics\' where you can find a face in it, or a number, as in those colour-blind tests.

The second one is so true Michael, I can really relate to that one.

I do like the painting, so many different forms can be seen in it and they change all the time, it could require a lifetime of studying and even then not all would be seen.

Thanks Michael ~ Lovely Painting and a nostalgic Poem. Historically I love the 1930\'s and your Poem reminded me of the tragic love~struck figure of KING EDWARD VIII ~ However I think the Country got a much better deal with King George VI & Queen Elizabeth which also gave us Queen Elizabeth II . Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

A great beginning to what could be a greater poem. We want to know what happens next? It seems the structure lends itself to a one-sentence format quite nicely. So, now we have two in contrast, and that\'s what peaks the interest and leaves us wanting more. It\'s almost as though you asked an unanswered question. Lovely bit of intrigue brought out to leave us pondering, \"Where does she go next?\" Loved it. More, please? - Phil A.

I had no idea there were so many specific forms of poetry, Michael. The painting is quite inviting and warm! Well done!

Good write Michael. Good to see you back.
I like the artwork, have you previously put up a picture of the same scene but with people in it?

Ah, yes, poetic idealism, makes one want to find this land and live there.A great mastery of the format you chose, beautiful words to fill the lines, and a dreamy sense of peace and harmony. A great write Michael - Phil A.

You really do make it look easy, Michael. \'And then fill in the two in the middle\'! You gotta have that imagination and brain of yours to do that!

A fine write Michael. If I tried something like this I doubt I would waffle on to 7 or 8 verses as I do sometimes. In some places any hymn over, say, 4 verses is too long!

KIPPERED
MendedFences27 said:

Kippers!! Yuk! Sorry Michael, but not for me, not at breakfast. The poem on the other hand goes well with morning coffee. A chuckle and a smile to begin the day. Loved your little witty ditty of a flying fish squished for frying. Oh well, have a nice breakfast, in fact have lots of them. - Phil A.

I guess the moral here is; Don\'t change your mind about flying in mid flight? Perhaps this one is too deep for me. Cute poem, Michael!
