I\'ll stick with limericks, haibun\'s far too complex for the likes of me.
So M.E. has wrote us a haibun
it musta been hard to compose one
was he helped by his muse
with a flagon of booze
or forced into it with a shotgun?

Ahh, a fine poem about Miss Berles, M.
You been in our area? In that fine pic the white building looks like a former Chapel local to me.

beautifully sincere words - to match
your artwork\'s scene
of that everyday serene
we take for granted: too quickly...
a wonderful read Michael, hope this is merely an expression of Artistry and all is well my friend,

Let\'s hope that, with the coming of the vaccine, that Covid (should be capitalized) will become the kigo (season-word) of this haiku. A colon mark after elbows would represent the kireji.

indeed, an insightful write Michael,
personally, I think I have perfected the best system for receiving package deliveries:
throw down the rope from my ground floor window and wave \'warmly\' with my full hazmat suit zipped-up tight,
then put on my oven mitts, spray it all with 99% killing antibacterial acid, hoping all the time that 1%: doesn\'t get me at night...
\'oh those horror few seconds - we brave, between a cough and our thermometer results of fate...\' lol
(ignore me, I was just having a little fun in my scribbled reply my friend)

when I marry the imagery of your words to your artwork:
I sense the Sun shining from East to West highlighting your chosen focus
capturing vividly effervescent: one of life\'s nuggets of subtle brilliance,
within that sunbeam
dance \'wisps\' of \'her\' unruly hair, serenading your eyes with their vivacious musicality of all-things gaiety, in the now cherished: so meaningfully dearly...
sorry Michael, I got all tangled-up in my own interpretation, lol
still, what a beautiful offering you\'ve chosen to brighten this dreary start to a new year with my friend,
Brilliant!

Though seasonal eatings a chore
i continually gorge more and more
now i\'m saying my prayers
before going downstairs
in case i should fall through the floor
you see, you\'ve again got me started
though my composition may be quite halfhearted
when i fell through that ceiling
there came a rumbling feeling
and then i resoundingly farted
The odour which the arose
got up the olifactory nose
the pong was so lousy
i began to feel drowsy
I\'m writing this quite comatose

\'The bulldozer outside the kitchen window was quite a big one.
He stared at it.
“Yellow,” he thought, and stomped off back to his bedroom to get dressed.\'
from opening \'scene\' of \'the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy\',
your words took me right back to that beloved character Michael...
your painting had me dreading those endless pages of Moby Dick and that eventual final battle where Captain Ahab found the end: he so fervently chased...
Happy New Year Michael, stay safe
