when I marry the imagery of your words to your artwork:
I sense the Sun shining from East to West highlighting your chosen focus
capturing vividly effervescent: one of life\'s nuggets of subtle brilliance,
within that sunbeam
dance \'wisps\' of \'her\' unruly hair, serenading your eyes with their vivacious musicality of all-things gaiety, in the now cherished: so meaningfully dearly...
sorry Michael, I got all tangled-up in my own interpretation, lol
still, what a beautiful offering you\'ve chosen to brighten this dreary start to a new year with my friend,
Brilliant!

I GOT UP
dusk arising said:

Though seasonal eatings a chore
i continually gorge more and more
now i\'m saying my prayers
before going downstairs
in case i should fall through the floor

you see, you\'ve again got me started
though my composition may be quite halfhearted
when i fell through that ceiling
there came a rumbling feeling
and then i resoundingly farted

The odour which the arose
got up the olifactory nose
the pong was so lousy
i began to feel drowsy
I\'m writing this quite comatose

\'The bulldozer outside the kitchen window was quite a big one.

He stared at it.

“Yellow,” he thought, and stomped off back to his bedroom to get dressed.\'
from opening \'scene\' of \'the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy\',
your words took me right back to that beloved character Michael...
your painting had me dreading those endless pages of Moby Dick and that eventual final battle where Captain Ahab found the end: he so fervently chased...
Happy New Year Michael, stay safe

They told me \"no longer go out\"
for exercise just jump and shout
but theres something quite fishy
about flailing limbs swishy
i\'m afraid ive become an old trout

so at last we\'ve got it for real
that much promised brexit good deal
we put an end to the babble
we conquered the rabble
with stiff upper lip sex appeal

you think lockdown cushy?
well my hairs got quite bushy
the missus complains
and plays video games
while i playfully stroke the pussy

As i\'ve said before, I just can\'t help joining in when i see a good limerick. Yours are super today.

Soddit i will post these today as my muse is on holiday at the moment..... thanks for the inspiration.

\'hot\' radishes, might be the oddest thing I have heard recently, though I doubt the kinda \'pickling\' found \'down the drain\' is necessarily all that healthy either... lol
as for \'sore bum cheeks\', I window-peep all that concrete greenery my beloved city has to offer,
and through all the stilled quietude of absent industry - I glimpse, I can\'t help but think: what a nice break for dear old mother nature 2020 has been...
nice write Michael,

TWO SHORTIES
L. B. Mek said:

a wonderful gem you\'ve shared dear friend, the artwork would have been enough for me to favourite, with those juxtaposed set of \'peak\'s\',
one pair at that low colourless tide - by the edge on the \'left\' of life...
and the other off-kilter \'couple\' towering high on the right - coloured in-full and imposing,
as if saying: at all times, we are one - we wait it out, intrusting in that level foundation we built our life\'s musical of love upon...
hope that brave certain \'someone\' in your life gleans all the meaning you\'ve imbued into your wonderful dedication Michael,
a great write as well!
(though I may be interpreting your meaning in my own self-centred way, to find I\'m grasping at straws you never planted, if so: forgive my overzealous nature my friend)
